2010 Individual Long Track World Championship
The 2010 Individual Long Track World Championship was the 2010 in sports, 2010 and 40th edition of the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme, FIM Motorcycle speedway, speedway Individual Long Track World Championship season. Champion was determined in six finals between 30 May and 19 September 2010. The Championship was won by Joonas Kylmäkorpi, who won three of six Grand Prix event and scoring 140 points. Kylmäkorpi beat Theo Pijper (120 pts) and Richard Speiser (103 pts). Top seven riders get qualify to the 2011 Individual Long Track World Championship, Grand Prix' next season, and next eight riders qualify to the 2011 Individual Long Track World Championship qualification, Long Track Challenge. The defending World Champion, Gerd Riss crashed at Final Three and he did not participate at next events (after Final Two he was second placed, losing three points to Kylmäkorpi). Martin Smolinski
Martin Smolinski (born 6 December 1984, in Munich, West Germany) is a former international motorcycle speedway and Grasstrack rider from Germany. He is eight times champion of Germany. Career Smolinksi began riding in his natiove Germany for MSC Olching. He became the German junior champion in 2003 and after reaching the final 2003 Speedway Under-21 World Championship he signed for Coventry Bees in England. Coventry retained him for the following two seasons and his form improved over the next two seasons. In 2006, he signed for his first Polish club Rybnik and in 2007 became the German Champion for the first time. Also in 2007, he won the league and cup double with Coventry during the 2007 Elite League speedway season. He was a regular team member of the German speedway team at senior level and represented them in the annual Speedway World Cup. Pfarrkirchen is a municipality in southern Lower Bavaria Germany, the capital of the district Rottal-Inn. It has about 12,500 inhabitants and is an important school centre with about 10,000 pupils from all over Lower Bavaria.
