2010 Icelandic Cup
2010 Visa-Bikar was the 51st season of the Icelandic national football cup. It began on 7 May 2010 and ended with the final on 14 August 2010 at Laugardalsvöllur. The winners qualified for the second qualifying round of the 2011–12 UEFA Europa League. Fimleikafélag Hafnarfjarðar ( en, Hafnarfjörður Gymnastics Club), commonly referred to as FH, is an Icelandic multi-sports club based in Hafnarfjörður. The club competes in football, handball, athletics, and fencing. It was founded in 1929 as a gymnastics club but soon started a handball department which became its flagship for several decades. Its men's football team has been a dominant power since the early 2000s. Football Men's football FH's men's football team has been a dominant power in Icelandic football since the early 2000s, winning several national championships. Women's football FH's women's football team won the first edition of the national championship in 1972. After losing the title to Ármann in 1973, FH won three successive titles in 1974, 1975 and 1976. Knattspyrnufélag Fjarðabyggðar (KFF) was an Icelandic football club from the town of Fjarðabyggð located on the east coast of Iceland. History The club was founded in 2001 with a merger of three local clubs, ''Íþróttafélagið Þróttur Neskaupstað'', ''Ungmennafélagið Austri Eskifirði'' and ''Ungmennafélagið Valur Reyðarfirði''. Knattspyrnudeild Vestra, also known as Vestri, is the football department of the Íþróttafélagið Vestri multi-sport club and is based in Ísafjarðarbær, Iceland. Men's History The club was founded in 1986 as the football department of ''Badmintonfélag Ísafjarðar'', or BÍ for short. It first participated in the Icelandic tier-4 league, then known as 4. deild karla, that same year and their first coach was former Icelandic international player Björn Helgason. Knattspyrnufélagið Þróttur, also referred to as Þróttur Reykjavík or Throttur, is a sports club from Reykjavík in Iceland. Íþróttafélagið Leiknir, commonly known as Leiknir Reykjavík, is an Icelandic multi-sports club. It is best known for its men's football team that plays in 1. deild karla (football), 1. deild karla, the second tier of Icelandic football, but also fields departments in Badminton, basketball, volleyball and karate.
