The 2010 Holland Series saw DOOR Neptunus defeat L&D Amsterdam, 4 games to 2, to win the club's 13th Dutch Championship, surpassing now-defunct Haarlem Nicols' 12, and their second in a row. The MVP of the series was Australian pitcher Dushan Ruzic Dushan Ruzic (born 5 January 1982) is an Australian former professional baseball pitcher. He was signed professionally by the Cincinnati Reds, Toronto Blue Jays and the Florida Marlins. Amsterdam Pirates
Amsterdam Pirates is a Dutch baseball and softball organization based in Amsterdam. It was founded as an expansion of the football club SV Rap on 17 February 1959 by Loek Loevendie. In the first years it was known as the RAP Pirates, but after a few years the club changed its name according to American tradition (first city name, then franchise name) and became the Amsterdam Pirates.
