2010 Formula Abarth Season
The 2010 Formula Abarth season was the sixth season of the former Formula Azzurra, and the first under its new guise of "Formula Abarth". It started on April 24 at Misano and finished on October 14 in Monza after fourteen races held at seven meetings. Brandon Maïsano, part of the Ferrari Driver Academy scheme and driving for BVM – Target Racing, won the Alboreto Trophy as overall champion, taking four victories and three second places for a championship-winning margin of 22 points over runner-up Patric Niederhauser of the Jenzer Motorsport team. Niederhauser assumed second place in the standings after finishing the season strongly, taking seven top-five finishes in the final eight races including a victory at Varano and five third places. Formula Abarth
Formula Abarth was an open wheel racing series based in Italy and Europe aimed at karting graduates. The inaugural season was in 2010, effectively replacing the Formula Azzurra. Abarth have taken over the supporting Project Youth initiative, that started in 2005.' Durango (racing Team)
Durango Automotive SRL was an Italian auto racing team founded in 1980 by Ivone Pinton and Enrico Magro, which competed in Formula 3000, the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the GP2 Series. The team finished racing after withdrawing from the Italian round of the 2009 GP2 Series season, although it was linked to Jacques Villeneuve and his bid to return to Formula One for the 2011 season. Matteo Davenia
Matteo Davenia (born 7 January 1993 in Milan) is a racing driver from Italy. Career Karting Davenia began his motorsport career in karting back in 2003, finishing fourth in the Italian Junior Championship. He was also champion of the 2007 Italian Rotax 125 championship. Formula Three Davenia moved up to single-seaters in 2008, competing in the Italian Formula Three Championship finale at Vallelunga, driving for Europa Corse in the Trofeo Nazionale CSAI class. He finished 23rd overall in the championship, after finishing tenth and thirteenth in the two races. Antonio Spavone (born 2 June 1994) is an Italian racing driver and entrepreneur. Career Karting Spavone was born in Naples. He began karting in 2005 and raced primarily in his native Italy for the majority of this part of career, working his way up from the junior ranks to progress through to the KF2 category by 2010. Niccolò Schirò (born 25 March 1994) is an Italian racing driver, who is best known for being the 2012 European F3 Open champion. Career Karting Born in Milan, Schirò began karting in 2007 and raced both in his native Italy and Europe for the majority of his karting career, working his way up from the junior ranks to progress through to the KF2 category a year later, when he finished 28th in the European KF2 Championship. Stefano Comini (born 3 February 1990) is a Swiss racing driver. Career Karting Comini debuted in karting in 2002, racing mostly in Italian and Swiss championships, taking titles in the Bridgestone Cup Switzerland ICA in 2004 and 2005 respectively.
