2010 FIA GT1 San Luis Round
The 2010 FIA GT1 San Luis round was an auto racing event held at the Potrero de los Funes, San Luis, Argentina on 3–5 December 2010, and served as the tenth and final round of the 2010 FIA GT1 World Championship season. The event shared the weekend with the TC 2000. The pairing of Stefan Mücke and José María López of the Young Driver AMR Aston Martin earned pole position and earned the fastest lap times in all three qualifying sessions thanks to the new addition of Argentinian racer López. The Hexis AMR Aston Martin pairing of Yann Clairay and Frédéric Makowiecki won both the Qualifying and Championship Races by a considerable margin. Potrero De Los Funes Circuit (Argentina) Track Map
The Potrero de los Funes Circuit (Circuito de Potrero de los Funes) circuit is an Argentine motorsports race track originally constructed in 1987, and rebuilt in 2008. It is located from San Luis, capital city of the San Luis Province, Argentina. The circuit is semi-permanent, with a length of . It was created by modifying the ring road that encircles Lake Potrero de los Funes, at the course's center. The circuit has received very high praise from the drivers for its substantial undulations and numerous high speed corners and bends, which provide a great driving challenge. The track's layout has changed slightly from its original layout. It appears that the curve prior to where the pits are now was tightened to create a more pronounced corner ahead of the pits, and perhaps to reduce speeds on the racing line going past the new pit exit. Michael Bartels
Michael Bartels (born 8 March 1968) is a German professional racing driver. He is a multiple FIA GT champion and former Grand Prix driver who attempted to qualify for four races in with Lotus. Career Bartels was the 1985 German karting champion and the 1986 German Formula Ford 1600 champion. He competed in the German Formula Three Championship in 1988 and 1989, before stepping up to International Formula 3000 in 1990. Bartels filled in at Lotus for Johnny Herbert, who had commitments in Japanese Formula 3000, at four Grands Prix during the Formula One season, but failed to qualify at all four races. Bartels continued in F3000, finishing 4th in 1992, before switching to the DTM in 1994, where he continued to race until the series ended at the end of 1996. Bartels raced in the Super Tourenwagen Cup for the next three years, before the DTM was resurrected in 2000. Neel Jani
Neel Jani (born 8 December 1983) is a Swiss professional Porsche factory driver. His father is from India and his mother is German Swiss. He achieved his greatest success winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2016 after first joining Porsche's LMP1 programme for the 2014 season driving in the WEC. Previously, Jani drove for A1 Team Switzerland in A1 Grand Prix, helping them win the 2007-2008 title and finishing runner-up in 2005-06 and 2008-09. Dominik Schwager (born 18 August 1976 in Munich) is a German auto racing driver. Career Schwager's racing career began with karting in Germany, participating in the national championship from 1989 to 1992 before moving to the Junior Karting World Championship in 1993. Schwager went on to win a driver search held by BMW and the ADAC in 1993, earning him an entry in the Formula Junior open wheel series which he went on to win in 1995. Schwager progressed to the German Formula Three Championship, initially finishing second in the B-Cup category before taking on the top tier championship in 1997. Schwager was also selected to be part of the Benetton Formula junior team as part of a development program, aided by backing from BMW. He became the FIA GT3 European Champion in 2009, racing for Lamborghini and Reiter Engineering, and raced in GT1 for the first time in 2010. Peter Kox
Peter Kox (born 23 February 1964 in Eindhoven) is a racing driver from the Netherlands. Kox began racing in karts in 1978, winning five titles until 1982. In 1983 he moved to automobiles, winning the Marlboro Formula Ford Challenge and was second and third in the Benelux and Dutch Formula Ford 2000 Championships, respectively, the following year. His single-seater racing career was interrupted several times and only took off in 1989 when he won the Benelux Formula Opel Championship in 1989. In 1990 Kox raced in the British Formula 3 Championship where he came third with two victories. He moved up to Formula 3000 in 1991, staying there for two seasons and winning one race. Unable to find a seat in Formula One, Kox moved to touring cars driving a BMW, winning five races in the Dutch series in 1993 on his way to the championship title. Clivio Piccione (born February 24, 1984 in Monte Carlo, Monaco) is a Monégasque race car driver. He raced in the 2005 GP2 Series season for the Durango team and David Price Racing for 2006.
