Football Club Bunyodkor ( uz, Bunyodkor futbol klubi) is an Uzbekistan, Uzbek professional association football, football club based in Tashkent that competes in the Uzbekistan Super League. Bunyodkor, a relatively unknown club at the time, made international headlines when it claimed to be close to signing world-famous FC Barcelona, Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o, although he did not sign with them. Football Club Kairat ( kk, Qaırat Fýtbol Klýby) is a professional association football, football club based in Almaty, which plays in the Kazakhstan Premier League, the highest level of Football in Kazakhstan, Kazakh football. Founded in 1954 as Lokomotiv Alma-Ata, they became Urozhay in 1955 and Kairat in 1956. The club's home ground is the Central Stadium (Almaty), Central Stadium which has a capacity of 23,804. Victor Aleksandrovich Karpenko (russian: Виктор Александрович Карпенко; born 7 September 1977) is a retired Uzbekistani professional football midfielder, and current coach of FC Bunyodkor. Azizbek Haydarov ( Uzbek Cyrillic: Азизбек Ҳайдаров; born 8 July 1985 in Tashkent) is a former Uzbek professional footballer who recently played for PFC Lokomotiv Tashkent as a defensive midfielder.
