The 2010 season was Bunyodkors 4th season in the Uzbek League in Uzbekistan. Bunyodkor competed in Uzbek League, Uzbekistani Cup and AFC Champions League tournaments. Football Club Bunyodkor ( uz, Bunyodkor futbol klubi) is an Uzbekistan, Uzbek professional association football, football club based in Tashkent that competes in the Uzbekistan Super League. Bunyodkor, a relatively unknown club at the time, made international headlines when it claimed to be close to signing world-famous FC Barcelona, Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o, although he did not sign with them. On 25 August 2008, AEK Athens FC, AEK Athens Brazilian superstar Rivaldo announced to the Greek press that he was joining Bunyodkor on a reported $14 million two-year contract. The club finished second in the 2007 Uzbek League season and made the semi-finals of the AFC Champions League 2008, 2008 AFC Champions League. In the beginning of August 2008, the club changed its name to ''Bunyodkor'' from PFC Kuruvchi to reflect the club's success on the pitch and its increasing professionalism off the pitch.

Football Club Kairat ( kk, Qaırat Fýtbol Klýby) is a professional association football, football club based in Almaty, which plays in the Kazakhstan Premier League, the highest level of Football in Kazakhstan, Kazakh football. Founded in 1954 as Lokomotiv Alma-Ata, they became Urozhay in 1955 and Kairat in 1956. The club's home ground is the Central Stadium (Almaty), Central Stadium which has a capacity of 23,804. Victor Aleksandrovich Karpenko (russian: Виктор Александрович Карпенко; born 7 September 1977) is a retired Uzbekistani professional football midfielder, and current coach of FC Bunyodkor. Azizbek Haydarov ( Uzbek Cyrillic: Азизбек Ҳайдаров; born 8 July 1985 in Tashkent) is a former Uzbek professional footballer who recently played for PFC Lokomotiv Tashkent as a defensive midfielder. PFK Metallurg Bekabad ( uz, "Metallurg Bekobod") is an Uzbek football club based in Bekabad. They play in the Uzbekistan Super League. History The club was founded in 1945.
