The 2010 European Badminton Championships were the 22nd tournament of the European Badminton Championships. They were held in Manchester, England, from April 14 to April 18, 2010, and they were organised by the Badminton Europe and the Badminton England. Venue of this event was the Manchester Evening News Arena. Manchester Evening News Arena
Manchester Arena, currently referred to as the AO Arena for sponsorship reasons, is an indoor arena in Manchester, England, immediately north of the city centre and partly above Manchester Victoria station in air rights space. The arena has the highest seating capacity of any indoor venue in the United Kingdom, and the second largest in Europe with a capacity of 21,000. The arena is one of the world's busiest indoor arenas, hosting music and sporting events such as boxing and swimming. Retrieved on 28 March 2008. Marc Zwiebler () (born 13 March 1984) is a badminton player from Germany. His highest ranking is 10 in the world. He is a seven-time German national champion in men's singles. He won gold at the 2012 European Championships in Karlskrona over Henri Hurskainen 21–15, 21–13. 2010 he won bronze behind Peter Gade and Jan Ø. Jørgensen. Mariana Agathangelou (born 14 August 1988) is a British badminton player. She competed for England in the mixed team event at the 2010 Commonwealth Games where she won a bronze medal. She went on to represent Jersey in the same competition at the 2014 Commonwealth Games but was eliminated in the knockout stages. Anastasia Russkikh
Anastasia Vladimirovna Russkikh (russian: Анастасия Владимировна Русских; born 20 May 1983) is an international badminton player from Gatchina, Russia. She entered her first tournament at age 9 in Sweden and finished in third place. She began playing professionally with her local Gatchina Badminton Club as well as a larger Danish club in Skaelskor, Denmark. In 2010, she played for the Vendsyssel Elite Badminton club. Russkikh is one of Russia's top badminton players, and is a high-ranking competitor in women's and mixed-doubles competitions. Petya Nedelcheva ( bg, Петя Неделчева; born 30 July 1983) is a Bulgarian badminton player. She was born in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. At the Bulgarian National Badminton Championships she won more than 20 titles. Career A right-handed Nedelcheva became a professional badminton player since 1999, when she competed at the Balkan Games Championships. In 2001, she won bronze medals at the European Junior Badminton Championships in the girls' singles and doubles event. Ingo Kindervater (born 1 January 1979) is a retired badminton player from Germany and now the Head of Performance for Badminton Scotland. Career Ingo was the men's doubles bronze medallist at the 2008 European Championships partnered with Kristof Hopp, and in 2010 with Michael Fuchs. In 2012, he qualified for the London Olympics with Johannes Schöttler after gaining 43529.339 points during the qualifying period and reaching 18th in the BWF World Ranking. Michael Fuchs (born 22 April 1982) is a retired international level badminton player from Germany. Michael Fuchs concentrates on doubles badminton competing with Johannes Schöttler in Men's and with Birgit Michels in the Mixed event. Carsten Mogensen (born 24 July 1983) is a former badminton player from Denmark. He was the gold medalist at the 2015 European Games, two time European champions winning in 2012 and 2017, and the silver medalist at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Mogensen was a former world number 1 in the BWF World ranking together with Mathias Boe. Early life Mogensen was born in Roskilde, a city on the island of Zealand and is currently living in nearby Greve. Mathias Boe (born 11 July 1980) is a badminton player from Denmark. He was the gold medalist at the 2015 European Games, two time European champions winning in 2012 and 2017, and the silver medalist at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Ella Aleksandrovna Diehl (russian: Элла Александровна Диль; born 5 August 1978; née Karachkova; russian: Карачкова) is a badminton player from Russia.
