2010 Edmonton Eskimos Season
The Edmonton Eskimos season was the 53rd season for the team in the Canadian Football League and their 62nd overall. After the Eskimos lost the final game of the season, they were eliminated from playoff contention, despite winning five of their last seven games. This is also the first time since 2004 that a Grey Cup host city has failed to qualify for the playoffs. Richie Hall
Richie Hall (born October 4, 1960) is the defensive coordinator for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League. He was formerly the head coach of the Edmonton Eskimos from 2009 to 2010. Early years Hall was born October 4, 1960, in San Antonio, Texas. Andre Talbot (born May 3, 1978) is a former professional wide receiver and slotback who played gridiron football in the Canadian Football League. Talbot played his first nine seasons in the CFL with the Toronto Argonauts and his tenth season with the Edmonton Eskimos. Football career Talbot played high school football at Monsignor Paul Dwyer Catholic High School in Oshawa. He later played university football at Wilfrid Laurier University where he was a two time All-Canadian and was drafted by the Toronto Argonauts in 2001. 2010 CFL Draft
The 2010 CFL Draft took place on Sunday, May 2, 2010 at 12:00 PM ET on TSN. 47 players were chosen from among eligible players from Canadian universities across the country, as well as Canadian players playing in the NCAA. After a number of trades, including ones made on draft day, Toronto and BC wound up with the most picks with nine apiece. The defending Grey Cup champions, the Montreal Alouettes, had seven, while the Calgary Stampeders had six. The Edmonton Eskimos, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Saskatchewan Roughriders each had four. Of the 47 draft selections, 36 players were drafted from Canadian Interuniversity Sport institutions.
