2010 Croke Cup
The 2010 Croke Cup was the 59th staging of the Croke Cup since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1944. The competition ran from 15 March to 4 April 2010. Thurles CBS were the defending champions, however, they were beaten by Kilkenny CBS in the All-Ireland quarter-final. The final was played on 3 April 2010 at Semple Stadium in Thurles, between St Kieran's College and Ardscoil Rís, in what was their first ever meeting in the final. St Kieran's College won the match by 2–11 to 2–08 to claim their 17th Croke Cup title overall and a first title in six years. Stephen Farrell was the top scorer with 1-12. The 2004 Croke Cup was the 53rd staging of the Croke Cup since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1944. The competition ran from 4 April to 3 May 2004. St Kieran's College were the defending champions. The final was played on 3 May 2004 at Parnell Park in Dublin, between St Kieran's College and St Raphael's College, in what was their first ever meeting in the final. CBS Sexton Street
CBS Sexton Street is a Christian Brothers secondary school located in Limerick, Ireland. The school has approximately 500 students. The current principal is Denis O'Connor, and the current vice principal is Elaine O'Connell. History Colaiste Mhichil was founded by Edmund Rice, a Christian Brother, to provide education for boys in Limerick city. Their numbers having declined, the Christian Brothers no longer have day-to-day involvement in the administration of the school. Instead, a lay principal and board of management manage the school with the Christian Brothers remaining as trustees. The school has been successful in soccer, having won the senior boys' FAI All Ireland soccer championship in 2007 and 2008. Kevin Downes (hurler)
Kevin Downes (born 14 October 1991) is an Irish hurler who plays for Limerick Senior Championship club Na Piarsaigh and at inter-county level with the Limerick senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a full-forward. Playing career Ardscoil Rís Downes first came to prominence as a hurler with Ardscoil Rís in Limerick. Having played in every grade as a hurler, he was full-forward on the college's senior hurling team. On 11 March 2010, Downes scored 1-02 from play when Ardscoil Rís defeated Thurles CBS in the final of the Harty Cup. Pádraig Walsh (born 12 March 1992) is an Irish hurler who plays for Kilkenny Senior Championship club Tullaroan and previously at inter-county level with the Kilkenny senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a centre back Playing career St. Kieran's College Walsh first came to prominence as a hurler with St. Kieran's College in Kilkenny. John Fitzgibbon (Limerick Hurler)
John Fitzgibbon (born 21 September 1992) is an Irish hurler who plays as a midfielder for the Limerick senior team. Born in Adare, County Limerick, Fitzgibbon was introduced to hurling in his youth. He enjoyed Harty Cup success at colleges level with Ardscoil Rís while simultaneously enjoying championship successes at underage levels with the Adare club. Fitzgibbon has won one championship medal. Fitzgibbon made his debut on the inter-county scene at the age of sixteen when he first linked up with the Limerick minor team. He later lined out with the under-21 team. Fitzgibbon made his senior debut during the 2015 Waterford Crystal Cup. He has since gone on to become a regular member of the Limerick senior team. Moate All Whites GAA
Moate (; ) is a town in County Westmeath, Ireland. The name ''An Móta'' is derived from the term motte-and-bailey, as the Normans built an example of this type of fortification here. The earthwork is still visible behind the buildings on the main street. The town later became an important marketplace and Quaker village. It has made the town much more wealthy. There are several extant examples of Quaker houses on the main street, which itself is typical of an Irish marketplace.
