The 2010 Croatian Football Super Cup was the ninth edition of the Croatian Football Super Cup, a football match contested by the winners of the previous season's Croatian First Football League, Croatian First League and Croatian Football Cup competitions. Croatian Football Super Cup
The Croatian Football Super Cup is a Association football, football match between the winners of the Croatian national Croatian Football League, top league and Croatian Football Cup, football cup. The Super Cup is always held at the beginning of a new football season, and is only held when different clubs win the two most important competitions in the previous season (i.e. the match is not played when a club completes Double (association football), the domestic double). Since the establishment of Croatian football competitions in 1992, the two local powerhouses GNK Dinamo Zagreb, Dinamo, HNK Hajduk Split, Hajduk and HNK Rijeka won doubles on twelve occasions (Dinamo Zagreb 11, Hajduk Split 1, Rijeka 1). The Super Cup wasn't held in periods between 1995–2001, 2007–2009, 2011–2012 and 2015–2018. Adrián Daniel Calello (, ; born May 14, 1987) is an Argentine football player, who plays as a midfielder for Quilmes Atlético Club. He started his professional career at Independiente, debuting for the first team on February 24, 2007. In the winter transfer window of the 2008–09 season he joined reigning Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb. Ivan Strinić (; born 17 July 1987) is a Croatian retired footballer who played as a left-back. Strinić spent his professional career playing in a number of clubs from Croatian, Ukrainian and Italian top flight, including Hajduk Split, Napoli and Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk. Jurica Buljat (born 19 September 1986) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a defender for HNK Zadar. Club career On 20 June 2011, Buljat signed a three-year contract with Israeli defending champion Maccabi Haifa. Buljat made his debut on 2011–12 UEFA Champions League second qualifying round, 13 July 2011, against Borac Banja Luka. He was released from the Israeli club after one year. Buljat signed for Ukrainian side FC Metalist Kharkiv in February, 2015. At Metalist, Buljat made 11 appearances. He was released at the end of the season. Danijel Subašić
Danijel Subašić (born 27 October 1984) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Hajduk Split. Subašić began his career in Croatia with Zadar and Hajduk. In January 2012, he joined Monaco, and went on to make 292 competitive appearances for them over eight-and-a-half years. Velimir Zajec (born 12 February 1956) is a Croatian professional football manager and former player who last managed Dinamo Zagreb. Club career Zajec began his career at Dinamo Zagreb in 1974, aged 18. During 10 years at the club, he helped them to two domestic cup wins, as well as the league title, their first title honour in 24 years. In 1979 and 1984, he was named the Yugoslav Footballer of the Year. He then transferred to Greek club Panathinaikos, for whom he was tremendously successful, playing over 100 games. Pedro Andrés Morales Flores (born 25 May 1985) is a Chilean former footballer who played as a midfielder. He began his professional career with Huachipato before moving to Universidad de Chile, and in 2007 was signed by Dinamo Zagreb of Croatia. After a loan back at Universidad de Chile and Spanish club Málaga, he spent a season with the latter before moving to Vancouver Whitecaps FC, where he served as a captain from 2014 until his departure. Luis Ezequiel Ibáñez (born 15 July 1988), nicknamed Lucho, is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a left back or as a left wingback for Serbian club Grafičar Beograd.
