2010 Challenge Tour
The 2010 Challenge Tour is a series of professional golf tournaments collectively known as the Challenge Tour. The Challenge Tour is Europe's official developmental tour and is organised by the PGA European Tour. It was introduced in 1986 and was originally called the Satellite Tour, before being renamed with its present title in 1990. Schedule The following table lists official events during the 2010 season. Challenge Tour Rankings ''For full rankings, see 2010 Challenge Tour graduates.'' The rankings were based on prize money won during the season, calculated in Euros. Andreas Hartø
Andreas Hartø (born 26 July 1988) is a Danish professional golfer. In August 2010, Hartø became just the fourth amateur to win on the European Challenge Tour when he captured the ECCO Tour Championship. He turned professional later in 2010, winning on the Challenge Tour for a second time in October of that year. This was still only his fourth event on the tour, making him the quickest ever to two wins at that level. On 10 December 2010, he qualified for the European Tour 2011 season, at the European Tour Qualifying School held at PGA Catalunja Resort in Spain. He picked up his third victory on the Challenge Tour in 2012 at the D+D Real Czech Challenge Open. The Tour de las Américas (TLA) was the principal men's professional golf tour throughout Latin America and the Caribbean from 2000 through to 2012 when it was superseded by PGA Tour Latinoamérica. Some of the national open championships in the region are long established, but they did not traditionally form a coherent tour. Floris De Vries
Floris Jan Willem de Vries (born 18 August 1989) is a Dutch professional golfer. Career De Vries was born in Rheden and turned professional in 2009 having had a successful amateur career. He qualified for the Challenge Tour by finishing in the top five of the rankings on the EPD Tour, one of Europe's third tier development tours, in 2009. In his rookie season on the Challenge Tour De Vries won the Mugello Tuscany Open, defeating Thorbjørn Olesen in a sudden-death playoff. He ended the season in 4th place on the Challenge Tour Rankings to graduate to the top level European Tour for 2011. Sam Walker (golfer)
Sam James Walker (born 1 March 1978) is an English professional golfer. Career Walker was born in Birmingham and turned professional in 2000. He came through the ranks, starting his career on the third tier MasterCard Tour before graduating to the Challenge Tour and finally the top level European Tour. Charlie Ford (golfer)
Charles Philip Ford (born 1 May 1985) is an English professional golfer who currently plays on the European Tour. Ford attended the University of Tennessee in the United States before turning professional in 2009. He qualified for the second tier Challenge Tour for the 2010 season by reaching the final stage of qualifying school at the end of 2009. He quickly made an impact by winning in his second appearance on the tour, at the Turkish Airlines Challenge, edging out Oscar Florén in a playoff. Robert Dinwiddie (golfer)
Robert Maitland Dinwiddie (born 29 December 1982) is an English professional golfer. Early years Dinwiddie was born in Dumfries, Scotland. He was assisted by College Prospects of America to gain a golf scholarship at Tennessee State University, and was the number one ranked English golfer. Dinwiddie won Welsh and Scottish Amateur Open Stroke Play Championships in 2005, and when he also claimed the English Amateur Open Stroke Play Championship, otherwise known as the Brabazon Trophy, in 2006, he became the first person to hold all three titles at the same time. The Kenya Open, titled as the Magical Kenya Open for sponsorship reasons, is a professional golf tournament in Kenya founded in 1967. History The Kenya Open was an associate event on the Far East Circuit in 1967 and 1968, after which it became a cornerstone of the emerging Safari Circuit – a collection of tournaments initially in Kenya and Zambia, and then later in Nigeria, Ivory Coast and Zimbabwe. The 2010 Tour de las Américas was the 10th season of the Tour de las Américas, the main professional golf tour in Latin America since it was established in 2000.
