200 Press
''200 Press'' is the sixth solo EP by English musician James Blake. Blake played all the instruments and produced the record. It was released on 1-800-Dinosaur on 8 December 2014. The name of the album (and the name of the title track) are a reference to the fact that only 200 copies of the vinyl edition would be pressed. Composition ''200 Press'' contains further experimentation by Blake. He most notably used a sample of Andre 3000's verse from Devin the Dude's "What a Job". The final track, "Words That We Both Know" is a poem set to disjointed piano. Reception The album received general acclaim from critics, mainly praising Blake's continued exploration and inventiveness. James Blake Litherland (born 26 September 1988) is an English musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer. He first received recognition for a series of 2010 EPs including ''CMYK'' and '' Klavierwerke'', and he released his self-titled debut album in 2011 to critical praise. His second album ''Overgrown'' was released in 2013, bringing him to international attention, and later was awarded the Mercury Prize. In 2016, he released his third album '' The Colour in Anything'' and his fourth album '' Assume Form'' in 2019, both receiving positive reviews and the latter becoming his highest-peaking album in the US ''Billboard'' 200, at number 21. Post-dubstep
Post-dubstep is an umbrella term applied to a range of musical styles that have been influenced by the sparse, syncopated rhythms and heavy sub-bass of the UK dubstep scene. The breadth of styles associated with the term post-dubstep precluded it from being a specific musical genre in the early 2010s. Such music often references earlier dubstep productions as well as UK garage, 2-step and other forms of underground electronic dance music. Artists producing music that has been described as post-dubstep have also incorporated elements of ambient music and early 2000s R&B.
