2009–10 Mersin İdmanyurdu Season
Mersin İdmanyurdu (also ''Mersin İdman Yurdu'', ''Mersin İY'', or ''MİY'') Sports Club; located in Mersin, east Mediterranean Region, Turkey, Mediterranean coast of Turkey in 2009–10. Mersin İdmanyurdu football team has finished 2008–09 TFF Second League, 2008–09 season in second place in TFF Second League Promotion Group and promoted to 2009–10 TFF First League. This was the second promotion of the team and MİY became the first team that promoted to TFF First League twice. After formation of the league in 2001 (as Lig A), MİY became second team which relegated and then promoted again, after Adanaspor (the third became Çanakkale Dardanelspor after promotion play-offs in 2008–09 TFF Second League, 2008–09 season. Mersin Talim Yurdu, formerly Mersin İdman Yurdu, is a Turkish sports club from Mersin, Turkey in the eastern Mediterranean Region. The team played in the Turkish first division for 15 seasons, and after the 1983–84 season the football team played in the Turkish second and third divisions. The team was promoted to the Turkish second level division after the 2008–09 season. History Çanakkale Dardanel SAŞ was founded as Çanakkalespor after merging Boğazspor, Türkgücü and Kalespor, which were amateur clubs of Çanakkale. Gilman Lika (born 31 January 1987) is an Albanian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Vllaznia Shkodër in the Albanian Superliga and the Albania national team. The 2010–11 TFF Second League (also known as '' Spor-Toto Second League'' due to sponsorship reasons) is the 10th season of the league since its establishment in 2001 as the third level division; and the 48th season of the second league in Turkish football since its establishment in 1963–64 (before 2001 league was played as second level division). League was played with 36 teams, 18 in White group and 18 in Red group. Winner of each group promoted to 2011–12 TFF First League. The Süper Lig (, ''Super League''), officially known as Spor Toto Süper Lig for sponsorship reasons, is a Turkish professional league for association football clubs. It is the top-flight of the Turkish football league system and is run by the Turkish Football Federation. The 2010–11 Süper Lig (known as the ''Spor Toto Süper Lig'' for sponsorship reasons) was the 53rd season since its establishment. The season began on 14 August 2010 and concluded on 22 May 2011. Fenerbahçe claimed their 18th title, but the season was marred by the 2011 Turkish football match-fixing scandal which involved 17 Süper Lig teams and dozens of people, including club bosses and Turkish internationals. Teams Ankaraspor, Denizlispor and Diyarbakırspor were relegated at the end of the 2009–10 season after finishing in the bottom three places of the standings; Ankaraspor were automatically relegated by the Turkish Football Federation because of the election of Ahmet Gökçek, who was already a member of the board of Ankaraspor, as chairman of Ankaragücü.
