The 2009–10 Conference USA men's basketball season marks the 15th season of Conference USA basketball. Preseason In a vote of league coaches, Tulsa center Jerome Jordan headed up the preseason All-CUSA team and was named preseason conference player of the year. On October 29, Jordan was named to the Naismith Award watch list. Jordan's teammate Ben Uzoh was named to the 30-man preseason candidate list for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award. Aubrey Coleman
Aubrey Gene Coleman (born October 9, 1987) is an American professional basketball player for Spartak Primorye of the Russian Super League. He played college basketball as an all-Conference USA player for the University of Houston where he became the NCAA's leading scorer for the 2010 season. Career Early years Coleman attended high school at Thurgood Marshall High School, though never played on the team. After graduating, he attended Gulf Shores Academy, and then junior college at Southwest Mississippi Community College. Marshall Thundering Herd Men's Basketball
The Marshall Thundering Herd men's basketball team represents Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. They compete in the NCAA Division I as a member of the Sun Belt Conference. Marshall has advanced to the NCAA tournament five times through the years (their 1987 appearance having been vacated), most recently in 2018. The Thundering Herd has also played in the NIT five times, last appearing in 2012. Hassan Whiteside
Hassan Niam Whiteside (born June 13, 1989) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Marshall Thundering Herd before being selected in the second round by the Sacramento Kings in the 2010 NBA draft. Memphis Tigers Men's Basketball
The Memphis Tigers men's basketball team represents the University of Memphis in NCAA Division I men's college basketball. The Tigers have competed in the American Athletic Conference since 2013. As of 2020, the Tigers had the 26th highest winning percentage in NCAA history. The UAB Blazers men's basketball team represents the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in the NCAA Division I men's college basketball, and have competed in Conference USA (C-USA) since 1995. History The UAB Blazers started their athletics program with the creation of men's basketball in 1978. The UCF Knights men's basketball team represents The University of Central Florida located in Orlando, Florida, United States.
