2009–10 Brentford F.C. Season
During the 2009–10 English football season, Brentford competed in Football League One. In the Bees' first League One season since 2006–07, the club finished in 9th place and reached the third round of the FA Cup. Season summary After promotion back to League One as League Two champions at the end of the 2008–09 season, Brentford manager Andy Scott immediately cleared all the bit-part and injury-prone players out of his squad, releasing 13. Brentford is a suburban town in West London, England and part of the London Borough of Hounslow. It lies at the confluence of the River Brent and the Thames, west of Charing Cross. Its economy has diverse company headquarters buildings which mark the start of the M4 corridor; in transport it also has two railway stations and Boston Manor Underground station on its north-west border with Hanwell. Football League Two
The English Football League Two (often referred to as League Two for short or Sky Bet League Two for sponsorship purposes, and known as the Football League Two from 2004 until 2016) is the third and lowest division of the English Football League (EFL) and fourth-highest division overall in the English football league system. Carl Cort
Carl Edward Richard Cort (born 1 November 1977) is a former professional footballer who played as a forward. He played for Wimbledon, Lincoln City, Newcastle United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Leicester City, Spanish club UD Marbella and Norwich City, Brentford, and North American Soccer League side Tampa Bay Rowdies. Forwards (also known as attackers) are outfield positions in an association football team who play the furthest up the pitch and are therefore most responsible for scoring goals as well as assisting them. Myles Arthur Eugene Wesley Weston (born 12 March 1988) is a professional footballer who plays as a left winger for Dagenham & Redbridge. Sam Daniel Saunders (born 29 August 1983) is an English professional footballer, who currently plays for Hanwell Town and is assistant coach of Brentford B. He made over 290 appearances as a midfielder in the English Football League, most notably for Brentford and Dagenham & Redbridge. Saunders began his career in non-League football and in 2007 was part of the Dagenham & Redbridge team which was promoted to the Football League for the first time in the club's history. Leon Legge
Leon Clinton Elliott Legge (born 1 July 1985) is an English professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for club Harrogate Town. A defender, his strong strength, positioning and tackling skills have helped him compensate for a lack of natural pace. Diagnosed with epilepsy at the age of 16, at the time he was playing youth football for Little Common. He went on to spend over seven years in non-League with Sidley United, Eastbourne United, Hailsham Town, Lewes and Tonbridge Angels, whilst also working as a care worker. Daniel Foster (born 23 September 1984) is an English former professional footballer who played as a right back in the Football League, most notably for Dagenham & Redbridge and Wycombe Wanderers. He was capped by England at youth and C level. Alan John Bennett (born 4 October 1981) is an Irish former professional footballer who played as a defender. He has represented the Republic of Ireland national team. Club career Cork City Bennett was born in Cork, Republic of Ireland on 4 October 1981. Nikki Bull
Nikki Bull (born 2 October 1981) is an English professional footballer who is the manager of Guildford City. During his playing career, he was a goalkeeper, representing Aldershot Town and Wycombe Wanderers, Queens Park Rangers, Hayes and latterly Margate, whom he also later managed until February 2017.
