The 2009–10 Bobsleigh World Cup was a multi race tournament over a season for bobsleigh. The season started on 12 November 2009 in Park City, Utah, United States and ended on 24 January 2010 in Igls, Austria (southeast of Innsbruck). The World Cup was organised by the FIBT who also run world cups and championships in skeleton. For this season, it was sponsored by Intersport. Calendar Below is the schedule of the 2009/10 season. Steven Holcomb
Steven Paul Holcomb (April 14, 1980 – May 6, 2017) was an American Bobsleigh, bobsledder who competed from 1998 until his death in 2017. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, he won the four-man bobsled event for the United States, its first gold medal in that event since 1948. At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, he finished second in both the four-man and two-man event. Early career Holcomb learned to ski when he was 2 years old. He was born in Park City, Utah, where his mother would take him skiing at every opportunity. He began ski racing when he was six at the main resort of Park City, and began ski racing for the Park City Ski Team for the following twelve years. During this time he was also an athlete in local sports, playing soccer, football, basketball, baseball, and running track. The Altenberg bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton track is a venue in Germany for bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton (sport), skeleton. Curtis Tomasevicz
Curtis "Curt" Tomasevicz (born September 17, 1980) is an American bobsledder who has competed since 2004, and a former college football player. He won six medals at the FIBT World Championships with two golds (Four-man: 2009, 2012), a silver (Mixed team: 2007) and three bronzes (Two-man: 2009, Mixed team: 2008, 2009). Tomasevicz finished sixth in the four-man event at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. He was an alternate during the (2006–07) season on World Cup tour for driver Steven Holcomb and won a gold in Cesana, Italy during the 2007–08 season. Thomas Lamparter (born 9 June 1978) is a Swiss former bobsledder who has competed since 2002. Competing in three Winter Olympics, he won a bronze medal in the four-man event at Turin in 2006 as part of the crew of Martin Annen. Lamparter also won two medals at the 2007 FIBT World Championships in St. Moritz with a gold in the four-man event (piloted by Ivo Rüegg) and a bronze at the bobsleigh-skeleton mixed team event. Justin Bradley Olsen (born April 16, 1987) is an American bobsledder who has competed since 2008. He won two medals at the 2009 FIBT World Championships in Lake Placid, New York, with a gold in the four-man and a bronze in the mixed team events. John Napier (born December 12, 1986) is an American bobsled driver and a soldier in the U.S. Army World Class Athlete Program. Todd Dennys Hays (born May 21, 1969) is a former American bobsledder who competed from 1994 to 2006. Competing in two Winter Olympics, he won the silver medal in the four-man event at Salt Lake City in 2002, breaking a 46-year medal drought for the US national bobsleigh team. He also won two medals in the four-man event at the FIBT World Championships with a silver in 2003 and a bronze in 2004.
