2009 Stock Car Brasil Season
The 2009 Copa Nextel Stock Car season was the 31st Stock Car Brasil season. It began on March 29 at Interlagos and ended on December 6 at same circuit after twelve rounds. This season introduced a new tubular chassis JL G-09 similar to DTM, replacing the model that was used since 2000. Before the start of the championship, Mitsubishi announced that left the championship. Cacá Bueno won his third championship. Teams and drivers All drivers were Brazilian-registered. Stock Car Brasil
Stock Car Pro Series, formerly known as Stock Car Brasil, is a touring car auto racing series based in Brazil organized by Vicar. It is considered the major Brazilian and South American motorsports series. Starting in 1979 with Chevrolet as the only constructor, the series has also seen other constructors joining in and leaving such as Mitsubishi, Peugeot and Volkswagen, currently the only other beside Chevrolet is Toyota. The series is composed by 12 rounds, with the most important race, the Corrida do Milhão (English: ''The'' ''Million Race'') being worth double points and has a prize pool of R$1 million. Ricardo Sperafico (born 23 July 1979) is a Brazilian professional racing driver. Career Born in Toledo, he resides in a family of racers, twin brother of Rodrigo, and with two cousins, Alexandre and the late Rafael. He began his career in Europe in Formula Ford. In 1998 and 1999 competed in South American Formula Three and won the Italian Formula 3000 series in 2000, before moving to International F3000 competition the following season. In 2002, Ricardo, Rodrigo and Alexandre all raced in the series with Ricardo finishing the best, 5th, driving for Petrobras Junior Team. He finished runner-up in 2003 before taking 2004 off.
