2009 Russian Figure Skating Championships
The 2009 Russian Figure Skating Championships (russian: Чемпионат России по фигурному катанию на коньках 2009) was held from December 24 to 28, 2008 in Kazan. Skaters competed at the senior level in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The juniors event was held separately. Andrei Lutai
Andrei Vladimirovich Lutai (russian: Андрей Владимирович Лутай; born 24 July 1986) is a Russian former competitive figure skater. He is the 2006 Karl Schäfer Memorial champion, 2006 International Cup of Nice champion, and a three-time Russian national medalist (2007 & 2008 silver; 2009 bronze). He placed as high as 5th at the European Championships (2007) and 10th at the World Championships (2009). Career Lutai began skating in 1992 and was coached by his sister in his early years. After the rink in Belgorod closed, he moved to Samara for one year, and then to Saint Petersburg in 2001 after his sister asked Alexei Mishin to take him in his group. Vladislav Dmitriyevich Sezganov or Sesganov (russian: Владислав Дмитриевич Сезганов; born 3 July 1988) is a Russian former competitive figure skater. Aleksandr Nikolayev (figure Skater)
Alexander Petrovich Nikolayev (Russian: Александр Петрович Николаев; 14 November 1918 – 13 June 2009) was a Red Army senior lieutenant and Hero of the Soviet Union. He received the title Hero of the Soviet Union and the Order of Lenin for his actions during the Battle of Berlin. Nikolayev also fought in the Siege of Leningrad. Early life Alexander Nikolayev was born on 14 November 1918 in the village of Strakhinovo in Bezhetsky Uyezd of the Tver Governorate to a peasant family. He graduated from junior high school. After graduation, Nikolayev worked as a shepherd on the farm. In 1935, he moved to Leningrad and became a plumber. In October 1939, he was drafted into the Red Army. Sergei Vladimirovich Dobrin (russian: Серге́й Владимирович Добрин, born 22 September 1986) is a Russian former competitive figure skater. He is the 2005 World Junior bronze medalist and a two-time ISU Junior Grand Prix Final silver medalist. On the senior level, he won bronze medals at the 2006 Trophée Éric Bompard, 2006 Finlandia Trophy, and two Russian Championships (2006 and 2007). Personal life Dobrin was born on 22 September 1986 in Lipetsk and has a sister, Maria, who is 18 years younger. He learned ballroom dancing from age 7 to 10.
