Stal Gorzów Wielkopolski is a Polish speedway team based in Gorzów Wielkopolski that currently competes in Speedway Ekstraliga. History Formation and beginnings The speedway section of club was officially registered 9 April 1950. At number 60 the register of sports associations was written down trade union sports club of Gorzów Wielkopolski. In July 1951 the Gorzów Wielkopolski club already had own 395-metres with path by the Śląska Street. After a few years of the struggle on III league paths and suspending the operations of the speedway chapter in 1953–1954 years, in 1955 the team is being Gorzów Wielkopolski reported to gameses of the II league. Klub Motorowy Ostrów Wielkopolski (''Motor Club Ostrów Wielkopolski'') was a Polish motorcycle speedway team based in Ostrów Wielkopolski who currently race in First League (2nd division). Poznańskie Stowarzyszenie Żużlowe (''Poznań Speedway Association'') is a Polish Motorcycle speedway, speedway team based in Poznań who currently race in Polish Speedway Second League (2. Liga). Unia Tarnów is a Polish motorcycle speedway club from Tarnów in Poland. The team compete in the Polish Speedway Second League (2. Liga). and have won the Team Speedway Polish Championship three times. History 1957 to 1989 The club was founded 1957 as a section of a multi-sports club of the same name, which was founded in 1928. It would not be until 2001 that the club became a separate entity but retained the same historic name. The first honour was winning the second division in 1963. Zygmunt Pytko later became the Polish champion in 1967.
