2009 LKL All-Star Game
The 2009 LKL All-Star Game was played on February 21, 2009, at Šiaulių arena, in Šiauliai, home of BC Šiauliai. The game was the 15th annual LKL All-Star Game. It was the second time that Šiauliai had hosted the basketball showcase, after previously hosting it in 2008. Dainius Šalenga
Dainius Šalenga (born 15 April 1977) is a Lithuanian retired professional basketball player. He is a small forward that is mainly known for his three–point shooting abilities. Šalenga represented the senior Lithuanian national basketball team at the 2004 Summer Olympics. Professional career Šalenga was the team captain of Žalgiris Kaunas, in Lithuania, before being released by the club in January 2011. Šalenga won the EuroLeague Round 6 MVP award, on December 3, 2009. National team career Šalenga was a member of the senior Lithuanian national basketball team. Martynas Mažeika (born 29 January 1985) is a Lithuanian professional basketball player for Neptūnas Klaipėda of the Lithuanian Basketball League. He is 1.92 m (6 ft 4 in) tall. He can play point guard or shooting guard, preferring the latter position. Professional career Mažeika began his professional career in 2000, aged 15, with the Lithuanian club Neptūnas where he stayed until 2004. He then moved to Alba Berlin for three years, the last one on loan to Telekom Baskets Bonn. Then he played at Capo d'Orlando and Khimik. BC Aisčiai-Atletas
KK Atletas ( lt, Kauno rajono Krepšinio Klubas Atletas) is a professional basketball club that is based in Kaunas district, Lithuania. Currently the team plays in the National Basketball League, in the past Atletas participated in the LKL and the Baltic League, before dissolving in 2007 and becoming BC Aisčiai-Atletas. In 2009, the team merged with BC Kaunas Triobet and played with the names of Kaunas, Baltai and LSU-Baltai. In 2013 club was renamed again to LSU-Atletas, which was merged with the NKL champions of the same name. Atletas are multiple time LKL finalists, and were once considered to be one of the strongest teams in Lithuania. Donatas Motiejūnas (; born September 20, 1990) is a Lithuanian professional basketball player for AS Monaco Basket of LNB Pro A and the EuroLeague. He was drafted 20th overall in the 2011 NBA draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves before going on to win the 2012 Polish Basketball League championship with Asseco Prokom Gdynia. Jonas Mačiulis (born 10 February 1985) is a Lithuanian former professional basketball player. Standing at , he mainly plays at the small forward position. As a member of the senior Lithuanian national team, he earned an All-EuroBasket Team selection in 2015, as Lithuania won the silver medal. Artūras Jomantas (born May 4, 1985) is a Lithuanian professional basketball player who plays for Mažeikiai of the Lithuanian Basketball League. Professional career Born in Mažeikiai, Lithuania, he made his debut with Mažeikiai Nafta during the 2001-02 season. He played high-school basketball at Laurinburg Normal HS. In 2004, he signed with Šiauliai and played there until the end of the 2005–06 season. He joined Lietuvos rytas in 2006 and stayed there for 7 seasons. Eurelijus Žukauskas (, born August 22, 1973) is a retired Lithuanian professional basketball player. At a height of 2.18 m (7'2") tall, and a weight of 118 kg (260 lbs.), he played at the center position. Professional career In the 1995 NBA Draft, Žukauskas was selected with the #54 draft pick by the Seattle SuperSonics, in the second round of the draft. BC Sakalai was a professional basketball club based in Vilnius, Lithuania, playing in the Lithuanian Basketball League and the Baltic Basketball League. They played their home games at the 1,000-seat Ekinstos laisvalaikio centras. Sakalai means falcons in Lithuanian language.
