The 2009 WNBA season, 2009 Indiana Fever season was their 10th season in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Lin Dunn
Lin Dunn (born May 10, 1947) is an American women's basketball coach, currently general manager with the Indiana Fever. She is most known for being the first coach and general manager for the Seattle Storm. She has more than 500 wins to her name. A native of Dresden, Tennessee, Dunn graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 1969. She coached for decades in the college ranks, amassing a 447-257 record in 25 seasons as a college head coach. In her tenure at Austin Peay State University (1970–1976), the University of Mississippi (1977–1978), the University of Miami (1978–1987) and Purdue University (1987–1996), she made the NCAA Women's Division I Basketball Championship seven times, and the Final Four once, in 1994 with Purdue. San Antonio Silver Stars
The San Antonio Stars were a professional basketball team based in San Antonio, playing in the Western Conference in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). The team was founded in Salt Lake City, Utah, as the Utah Starzz before the league's inaugural 1997 season began; then moved to San Antonio before the 2003 season and became the San Antonio Silver Stars, then simply the San Antonio Stars in 2014. Bernadette Ngoyisa (born 26 August 1982 in Kinshasa) is a professional women's basketball center with the Indiana Fever of the WNBA. Ngoyisa is from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Kristen Cherie Mann (born August 10, 1983) is an former American professional basketball player who played in the WNBA. Childhood Born in Lakewood, California on August 10, 1983, Mann is the daughter of Kathy Deeds and Gene Mann. She has two brothers, Mack and Guy, and one sister, Payton, all younger than her. She went to Foothill High School, playing both basketball and softball. She played first and third base for her high school softball team, and the Foothill Knights won the state and national titles in 2000. Eshaya Murphy
Eshaya "Shay" Murphy (born April 15, 1985) is an American professional basketball player. Born in Canoga Park, California, Murphy attended college at USC and graduated in 2007. Following her collegiate career, she was selected 15th overall in the 2007 WNBA draft by the Minnesota Lynx. Murphy has a brother George who attend the same high school as her. Jessica Alicia Moore (born July 9, 1982) is an American professional basketball player. Moore was a Center for the UConn Huskies from 2000 to 2005. High school Moore was introduced to basketball at the age of 10 by her older brother. By the time Moore reached Colony High School in Palmer, Alaska, she was a good all-around athlete. She was on the basketball, track and volleyball teams. The basketball team reached the state finals four times winning the State Championship twice, and the volleyball team also won two State Championships. Tamecka Michelle Dixon (born December 14, 1975) is an American former professional basketball player. She played in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) from 1997 to 2009 for three different teams, was part of WNBA championship teams in 2001 and 2002, was a three-time WNBA All-Star and announced her retirement prior to the 2010 WNBA season.
