2009 Formula Palmer Audi Season
The 2009 Formula Palmer Audi season was the twelfth Formula Palmer Audi season. It began on May 2 at Brands Hatch and finished on October 18 at Snetterton. It consisted of twenty rounds all held in England. The championship was won by Richard Plant in his third FPA season. In a new incentive for 2009, the winner of this season's championship received a £50,000 scholarship prize towards a Formula Two drive, and the top three all received a F2 test. Formula Palmer Audi, officially abbreviated to FPA, and sometimes informally abbreviated to Palmer Audi, was a one-make class of open wheel Formula racing founded in 1998 by former Formula One driver, Jonathan Palmer. It was based in the United Kingdom (UK), and was organised and operated by MotorSport Vision. It had a high proportion of British drivers and venues, but it also featured international drivers, and races in mainland Europe. The series was most famous for producing ex-F1 driver and IndyCar race-winner Justin Wilson, and triple World Touring Car Champion Andy Priaulx. In November 2010, Jonathan Palmer announced the end of the series with the series' chassis being dismantled for use in other areas of the MotorSport Vision organisation. Kazim Vasiliauskas
Kazimieras "Kazim" Vasiliauskas (born 2 August 1990) is a Lithuanian former racing driver. Racing career Karting Vasiliauskas was born in Kaišiadorys. He competed in kart racing from 1999 to 2007, winning several Lithuanian and Baltic championships including the Lithuanian Karting KF3 Championship in 2002 and the Lithuanian Karting KF1 Championship in 2005. Formula Renault Vasiliauskas moved up to formula racing in 2008, competing part-season in both the Italian Formula Renault Championship and the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup with Prema Powerteam. He finished 21st in the Italian series and did not score any points in the Eurocup. His best race finish was sixteenth in the final round in Barcelona. Oulton Park
Oulton Park is a hard surfaced track used for motor racing, close to the village of Little Budworth, Cheshire, England. It is about from Winsford, from Chester city centre, from Northwich and from Warrington, with a nearby rail connection along the Mid-Cheshire Line. It occupies much of the area which was previously known as the Oulton Estate. The racing circuit is owned and operated by Jonathan Palmer's MotorSport Vision organisation. Silverstone Circuit
Silverstone Circuit is a motor racing circuit in England, near the Northamptonshire villages of Towcester, Silverstone and Whittlebury. Josef Nicolai Newgarden (born December 22, 1990) is an American race car driver who competes in the IndyCar Series full-time for Team Penske.
