2009 Euroseries 3000 Season
The 2009 Euroseries 3000 began on 16 May at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portugal and finished at Monza in Italy on 18 October after 14 races. In February, 2009, series organisers Coloni Motorsport announced that the first-generation A1 Grand Prix chassis, the Lola B05/52, would be introduced into the championship to replace the previous Lola B02/50 model. It was also announced that online gambling site PartyPoker.com became the title sponsor of the series for the next three years. As a result of the sponsorship deal, the winner of the drivers' championship won a free season in the GP2 Series for 2010. It also allowed them to participate in the 2009–10 GP2 Asia Series and their official testing sessions on 23 and 24 October, less than a week after winning this title. Autódromo Internacional Do Algarve
The Algarve International Circuit ( pt, Autódromo Internacional do Algarve), commonly referred to as Portimão Circuit, is a race circuit located in Portimão, Algarve region, Portugal. The development includes a karting track, off-road track, technology park, five-star hotel, sports complex and apartments. The circuit was designed by Ricardo Pina, Arquitectos. The construction was finished in October 2008 and the circuit was homologated by both the FIM on 11 October 2008 and the FIA two days later. Diego Nunes (born July 12, 1986 in Curitiba) is a Brazilian racing driver. Career Formula Renault Nunes began his car racing career by driving full-time in the Formula Renault 2.0 Brazil championship in 2003 and 2004, having competed in selected events in 2002. With a best result of ninth in the drivers' championship in 2004, Nunes moved on to concentrate on different motorsport series from 2005, but still returned to Brazilian FRenault for the occasional race in that year and the next. Pastor Rafael Maldonado Motta (; born 9 March 1985) is a Venezuelan professional racing driver, who competed in Formula One for the Williams (2011–2013) and Lotus (2014–2015) teams and as a Pirelli test driver until 2017. Before entering Formula One, he won the 2010 GP2 Series championship. He became the first Venezuelan to win a Formula One Grand Prix when he won the 2012 Spanish Grand Prix for Williams, from his first and only pole position. Teamcraft Motorsport was a British motorsport team based in Silverstone, UK. The team competed in the now defunct A1 Grand Prix and Euroseries 3000 series. History The team ran the A1 Team Mexico car for the 2007–08 season, the team finished sixteenth in the 22 team Championship, with the team's best race result being two fourth places from Salvador Durán in the first round of the season in the Netherlands. The team were set to run the A1 Team Pakistan car in 2008–09 season with Adam Khan as the driver, however the team failed to attend any races. Emilio de Villota Ruíz (born 26 July 1946) is a former racing driver from Spain, born in Madrid. He entered 15 Formula One World Championship Grands Prix between 1976 and 1982, qualifying twice. Coloni Motorsport, also known as Scuderia Coloni, was an auto racing team from Italy.
