The 2009 European Parliament election in Lithuania was the election of the Members of the European Parliament, delegation from Lithuania to the European Parliament in 2009. It was a part of the wider 2009 European Parliament election. The Homeland Union (European Peoples Party) doubled their representation from 2 to 4, whilst Labour Party (Lithuania), Labour shrank from 5 to 1. The 2004 European Parliament election in Lithuania was the election of MEP representing Lithuania constituency for the 2004–2009 term of the European Parliament. It was part of the wider 2004 European election. The vote took place on 13 June 2004. Results The Labour Party received the most votes (30.16 per cent) and won in 55 municipalities. The Social Democratic Party of Lithuania received 14.43 per cent of the votes and won in 1 municipality. Liberal And Centre Union
The Liberal and Centre Union ( lt, Liberalų ir centro sąjunga, LiCS) was a conservative-liberal political party in Lithuania active between 2003 and 2014. It was a member of the Liberal International and the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE). History LiCS was formed in 2003 by a merger of the Liberal Union of Lithuania, Centre Union of Lithuania and Modern Christian Democratic Union. The combined party was led by Gintautas Babravičius. In the 2004 European Parliamentary Elections it gained 11.2% of the vote and returned 2 MEPs. A Member of the European Parliament (MEP) is a person who has been elected to serve as a popular representative in the European Parliament. National Resurrection Party
National Resurrection Party ( lt, Tautos prisikėlimo partija; sometimes translated as ''Rising Nation Party'' or ''National Revival Party'') was a centre-right political party in Lithuania. History Founded in 2008. The party was headed by a former Lithuanian performer and producer Arūnas Valinskas, who was the Speaker of the Seimas until September 2009. Front Party
The Front Party ( lt, Fronto partija, abbreviated FRONTAS) was a socialist political party in Lithuania established in 2008 by Algirdas Paleckis. It participated in the 2008 Lithuanian parliamentary elections but failed to reach the 5% cutoff and sent no members to the Seimas. On December 19, 2009 the party merged with the Lithuanian Socialist Party to establish a new political party, the Socialist People's Front. Liberals' Movement ( lt, Liberalų sąjūdis), abbreviated to LS, is a conservative-liberal political party in Lithuania.
