2009 Emir Of Qatar Cup
The 2009 Emir of Qatar Cup was the 37th edition of a cup tournament in men's football (soccer). It is played by the 1st and 2nd Level divisions of the Qatari football league structure. The top four sides of the 2008–09 Qatari League season enter at the Quarter-final stage. The winners of this knockout tournament should enter the AFC Champions League 2010 Asian club tournament, but due to Al-Gharafa winning the tournament, league runners up Al Sadd qualified. Al-Gharafa
Al-Gharafa Sports Club ( ar, نادي الغرافة الرياضي) is a Qatari multisports club based in the Al Gharrafa district of Al Rayyan. It is best known for its football team, although it also has teams for other sports. It was established on 6 June 1979 as Al-Ittihad and later officially incorporated into the Qatar Football Association on 23 September of that same year. The club was officially renamed to its current form in 2004 to better represent the district of Al-Gharafa, of which the club belongs to. Al-Markhiya Sports Club
Al-Markhiya Sports Club ( ar, المرخية) is a Qatari multi-sports club, based in the Al Markhiya district of Doha. Its football department plays in the Qatar Stars League. It was widely regarded as the fastest improving team due to it winning the Second Division league 4 times in the first 5 it has taken part of. It has also entered history by being the first second division club to be promoted to the Qatar Stars League. Youssef Joshua Safri ( ar, يوسف سفري, born 3 January 1977) is a Moroccan retired footballer who currently is coach for Qatar SC. Club career Safri started his youth career at Rachad Bernoussi. The following year, he was promoted to the senior squad. He was a midfielder best known for his passing and tackling ability. Talal El Karkouri ( ar, طلال القرقوري, born 8 July 1976) is a Moroccan former professional footballer. He played top-flight football in Morocco, France, Greece, England and Qatar before retiring in 2012. Taiseer Jaber Al-Jassim ( ar, تيسير جابر الجاسم, can also be spelled as Taisir Al-Jassim, born 25 July 1984) is a former Saudi Arabian professional footballer who played as a midfielder.
