2009 AIK Fotboll Season
AIK had a sensational season, winning 14 league matches by the odd goal, to claim their first domestic title since 1998, also winning the cup final against IFK Göteborg, also title rivals in the league, which was decided in a straight run-in between the two candidates. There, AIK turned around a 1–0 deficit to win 2–1 and claim the title, more than enough, considering a draw had landed the title as well. Key players in the title success included goalkeeper Daniel Örlund, conceding just 20 goals all season, plus new defensive general Jos Hooiveld, midfielder Jorge Ortiz and striker Iván Obolo, all of them departing following the title success. AIK Fotboll (), more commonly known simply as AIK (), an abbreviation for Allmänna Idrottsklubben (meaning ''the public'' or ''general sports club''), is a Swedish football club competing in Allsvenskan, the top flight of Swedish football. The club was founded 1891 in Stockholm and the football department was formed in 1896. AIK's home ground is Friends Arena, located in Solna, just north of Stockholm City Centre. Tomi Maanoja
Tomi Maanoja (born 12 September 1986) is a Finnish former professional goalkeeper. Maanoja has been capped twice for Finland. Career Maanoja made his first appearance in the Veikkausliiga with AC Allianssi from Vantaa in 2005. He completed a move to the neighbouring city's (Espoo) most notable football club, FC Honka, the following season. Maanoja was regarded as one of the best Finnish young goalkeepers and attracted interest from several foreign clubs before his move to AIK on 29 July 2008. On 28 February 2009, Maanoja became seriously injured in a pre-season game against Assyriska Föreningen. He broke his leg in two places, rushing out to stop an Assyriska attack. Landskrona Boll och Idrottsällskap ( en, Landskrona Ball and Sports Society, locally referred to as BoIS) is a Swedish professional football club located in Landskrona, Scania, which currently plays in Superettan, the second league tier of football in Sweden. Lee Baxter
Lee Baxter (born 17 June 1976) is a Scottish-Swedish football goalkeeper and coach who has played for clubs in Sweden and England and trained goalkeepers in several international clubs. He moved from Malmö FF to Sheffield United in 2003, to cover a goalkeeping crisis. His only appearance was ''The Blades'' Football League match against Burnley on 6 December 2003. He was deemed to be at fault for two of the goals and was subbed at half time for Alan Fettis. Baxter only played for Sheffield United in England, before moving back to Sweden with IFK Gothenburg. He is the son of football manager Stuart Baxter, and grandson of footballer Bill Baxter. Following his playing career, he took on the role of goalkeeper coach at AIK. Spårvägens FF is a Swedish football club located in Skarpnäck in the southern part of Stockholm. Background Spårvägens FF is part of Spårvägens GoIF, a sports club that was founded in 1919 by employees of Stockholm's Spårvägar. The club formed a football section in 1969. Eskilstuna City FK is a Swedish football club located in Eskilstuna. The club is playing in Division 2. FC Honka is a Finnish football club based in Espoo. It was founded in 1957 as Tapion Honka, and changed its name to FC Honka in 1975. Antônio Flávio Aires dos Santos (born 5 January 1987) is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a striker for Ponte Preta. Antônio Flávio is more commonly known as Flávio by the fans and commentators. Career Flávio started his career at Atlético Goianiense (from 2003–2005), then he went on to Andraus (2006). Niklas Backman
Niklas Alexander Backman (born 13 November 1988) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a centre back. He played for Skiljebo SK, AIK, Dalian Aerbin, and AGF during a career that spanned between 2005 and 2021. A full international between 2011 and 2014, he won six caps for the Sweden national team. Club career Backman started playing football for local Västerås team Skiljebo SK as a youth.
