Héctor Soto
Héctor Soto (born June 28, 1978 in New York City, New York) is a former volleyball player from Puerto Rico, who was a member of the Men's National Team that ended up in sixth place at the 2007 FIVB Men's World Cup in Japan and received the Best Scorer individual award. He played in the 2006 FIVB World Championship, being also named Best Scorer of the tournament. College Soto is married with Amnerys González and has two children, Camila and Maurizio. He studied in the Carmen B. Huyke High School. Career Soto started playing professionally with the Puerto Rican club Bucaneros de Arroyo in the 1995 season, he then played with Caribes de San Sebastián since 1998 when Arroyo and San Sebastian merged, winning the 1999 Puerto Rican League Championship with this team and becoming Final Series Most Valuable Player. Stary Oskol
Stary Oskol ( rus, Старый Оскол, p=ˈstarɨj ɐˈskol) is a city in Belgorod Oblast, Russia, located south of Moscow. Population: It is called Stary Oskol (Old Oskol) to distinguish it from Novy Oskol (New Oskol) 60 km south. Both are on the Oskol River. History It was near the Muravsky Trail used by Crimeans and Nogais to raid Muscovy. In 1571 a fort was built nearby. It was abandoned after 15 years, but the area was still patrolled. Novokuybyshevsk
Novokuybyshevsk (russian: Новоку́йбышевск) is a city in Samara Oblast, Russia, located on the eastern bank of the Volga River, away from it. Population: History During the Russian Civil War, the area where the city now stands was a place of ferocious battles with the White Russians. In 1946, shortly after World War II, the Soviets constructed an oil refinery in Novokuybyshevsk, which resulted in the establishment of a large village of approximately 14,000 people. Christian Pampel (born 6 September 1979 in Gehrden) is a volleyball player from Germany. He currently plays and coaches at TSV Mimmenhausen. Career Christian Pampel started his career in Hochstetten in 1995. After three years in the Volleyball-boarding school Frankfurt, he went to the first division club VfB Friedrichshafenin 1999, won his first championship 2000, and made it to the final of the Champions League in 2000. In 2001, he won both the German championship and the German cup and took part at the European Volleyball Championship in the Czech Republic. In 2002, he won the German championship and cup again. Kevin Christopher Hansen (born March 19, 1982) is an American volleyball player. He made his Olympic debut at the 2008 Summer Olympics with the U.S. national team. Personal life Hansen was born and raised in Newport Beach, California. He attended high school at Corona del Mar and was named the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Most Valuable Player in 2000 and led the volleyball team to the CIF Division I Championship the same season. Péter Veres (born 22 February 1979) is a Hungarian volleyball player. He was a member of Hungary men's national volleyball team in 2001–2008 and the Italian club LPR Piacenza. From 2019 to 2021, he managed the women's volleyball team at Fatum Nyregyháza. Gabriel Gardner
Gabriel "Gabe" Bryan Gardner (born March 18, 1976, in San Diego, California) is an American professional volleyball player. He is a two-time Olympian, having played at the 2004 Athens Olympics and 2008 Beijing Olympics with the U.S. national team. Gardner graduated from San Clemente High School, where he went on to the University of Southern California, playing for the USC Trojans volleyball team in 1996–97. He then transferred to Stanford University, where due to NCAA transfer rules he sat out the 1998 season before playing for the Cardinal in 1999.
