2008–09 LEB Plata Season
The 2008–09 LEB Plata season was the 9th season of the LEB Plata, second league of the Liga Española de Baloncesto and third division in Spain. It is also named Adecco Plata for sponsorship reasons. Competition format 16 teams play the regular season. This is a round robin, where each team will play twice against every rival. The champion of the Regular Season is promoted to LEB Oro and the eight next teams enter the play-offs, where the winner is promoted too. The last two qualified teams were relegated to LEB Bronce. If two or more teams have got the same number of winning games, the criteria of tie-breaking are these: #Head-to-head winning games. #Head-to-head points difference. #Total points difference. The LEB Plata is the third basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system and the second basketball division organized by the Spanish Basketball Federation. Club Baloncesto Ambroz Plasencia, more commonly referred to today by its sponsorship name of Plasencia Extremadura, is a Basketball team based in Plasencia, Extremadura. History Plasencia Ambroz was founded in 1978 as a merge of the clubs Centro Juventud and La Salle. The most important milestone of the club was in 1995, when the club reached the Final Stage of the Liga EBA, and played the promotion playoffs to the top tier, the Liga ACB. Nihad Đedović
Nihad Đedović (born January 12, 1990) is a Bosnian professional basketball player for Unicaja of the Liga ACB. He also represented the Bosnia and Herzegovina national basketball team internationally. Professional career Đedović started his career with KK Bosna, but FC Barcelona signed him when he was just 16 years old. He never got a real chance to play in Barcelona, and spent most of the time on loans in Cornellà, Obradoiro and with Virtus Roma. After leaving Barcelona, he played for Galatasaray and Alba Berlin. Gijón Baloncesto was a basketball team based in Gijón, Asturias, Spain. History Gijón Baloncesto was established in 1982, after taking over the franchise of another local team, Real Grupo de Cultura Covadonga, who was undergoing financial difficulties.
