2008–09 Jordan FA Cup
The 2008–09 version of the Jordan FA Cup was the 29th edition to be played. It is the premier knockout tournament for football teams in Jordan. Al-Faisaly (Amman) went into this edition as the winner from 2007–08 and the club with the most wins, 16. The cup winner were guaranteed a place in the 2010 AFC Cup. The Jordan FA Cup is Jordan's premier knockout tournament in men's football (soccer), Al-Faisaly have the record for the most FA Cup wins in their history with a total of 21 titles, followed by Al-Wehdat with 11 . Al Karmel
''Al Karmel'' was a literary magazine which existed between 1981 and 2008. The magazine is known for its founder and editor Mahmoud Darwish, a Palestinian writer. It was based in various cities during its run. History and profile ''Al Karmel'' was established by Mahmoud Darwish in Beirut, Lebanon, in 1981. Darwish edited the magazine until his death. Its publisher was Al Karmel Cultural Foundation. Elias Khoury was the editor of the magazine between 1981 and 1982. Al-Wahdat
Al-Wehdat Sport Club ( ar, نادي الوحدات الرياضي}) is a Jordanian sport club founded in 1956. The club is based in and represents the Amman New Camp, a Palestinian refugee camp which is also known as Al-Wehdat. Al-Wehdat's home games are played at King Abdullah II Stadium (cap. 13,265). There are other sports offered in the club, such as volleyball, basketball and table tennis. History The club was founded in 1956 under the name Al-Wehdat Youth Center. Penalty Shootout (association Football)
A penalty shoot-out (officially kicks from the penalty mark) is a tie-breaking method in association football to determine which team is awarded victory in a match that cannot end in a draw, when the score is tied after the normal time as well as extra time (if used) have expired. In a penalty shoot-out, each team takes turns shooting at goal from the penalty mark, with the goal defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. Each team has five shots which must be taken by different kickers; the team that makes more successful kicks is declared the victor. Shoot-outs finish as soon as one team has an insurmountable lead. If scores are level after five pairs of shots, the shootout progresses into additional " sudden-death" rounds. Balls successfully kicked into the goal during a shoot-out do not count as goals for the individual kickers or the team, and are tallied separately from the goals scored during normal play (including extra time, if any). Al-Faisaly Sports Club ( ar, نادي الفيصلي الرياضي) is a professional football club based in Amman, Jordan, that competes in the Jordanian Pro League, the top flight of Jordanian football.
