Season 2008–09 saw Clyde F.C., Clyde compete in their ninth consecutive season in the Scottish First Division. They finished bottom of the league, and were relegated to the Scottish Second Division. Ricky Waddell
Richard Alexander Waddell (born 4 February 1981 in Falkirk) is a Scottish football player and coach who is currently head coach of Scottish Lowland Football League team Caledonian Braves. His playing career as a defender or midfielder saw him play for Scottish clubs including Falkirk, Partick Thistle, Hamilton Academical, Airdrie United and Clyde, as well as spells in Singapore and the United States. Playing career Waddell began his career with hometown team Falkirk, before joining Partick Thistle in 2003. He spent two years with the ''Jags'', before having spells at Hamilton Academical and Forfar Athletic. In 2006, he left Scotland, and joined Singaporean outfit Senkang Punggol. He returned to his home country in 2007, signing for Ayr United, before joining Airdrie United later in the same year. He joined Clyde on 2 June 2008. Iain Campbell (footballer)
Iain Campbell (born 28 June 1985) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays for Montrose. After beginning his career at Dunfermline Athletic he has since played for Kilmarnock, Ross County, Clyde, Alloa Athletic, Cowdenbeath and Forfar Athletic. Career Born in Kirkcaldy, Campbell started his career with Dunfermline Athletic. He made 36 appearances and scored one goal, against Motherwell at Fir Park on 29 April 2006, in a 3–2 win. In August 2006, he moved to fellow SPL club Kilmarnock for an undisclosed fee. He didn't make an appearance for ''Killie'', and was sent on loan to Ross County in August 2007 till the end of the year. On 31 January 2008, Campbell was loaned out again, this time to Clyde until May 2008. He made his debut in a 3–1 defeat by Stirling Albion on 2 February 2008. Alan Lithgow
Alan Lithgow (born 12 March 1988) is a Scottish professional association football player who plays for St Cadoc's. Career Born in Bellshill, Lithgow began his professional career with Heart of Midlothian, joining from youth side East Kilbride Burgh in 2004. Lithgow made his competitive debut for Hearts in a 4–0 League Cup win over Alloa Athletic in September 2006, appearing as a second-half substitute for the injured Hristos Karipidis. This was not, however, Lithgow's first involvement with the first team squad: he was an unused substitute on his 17th birthday back in the 2004–05 season, when a flu epidemic forced the Edinburgh club to promote numerous members of their under-19 side to the first team squad for a match with Inverness Caledonian Thistle. Paul Stephen Emslie (born 13 March 1988) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a midfielder for Scottish Highland Football League side Cove Rangers. Career Rangers Emslie started his career with Rangers. He made one first team appearance for the club, in a Scottish League Cup match against East Fife on 26 September 2007. Emslie came on as a substitute for Charlie Adam. Emslie also represented the Scotland U19 and Scotland U20 teams. Michael Ohnesorge (born 29 September 1983) is a German former professional footballer who played as a defender.
