2008 Women's EuroFloorball Cup Finals
The 2008 Women's EuroFloorball Cup Finals took place in Winterthur, Switzerland from 8 to 12 October 2008. The 2008 EuroFloorball Cup marks the second year in which the new name for the tournament was used (previously known as the European Cup). The tournament also marks its 16th year. The IFF decided that the tournament would revert to its original format, and would take place during one calendar year, instead of two. Qualification Format Since the top 4 nations at the 2007–08 Women's EuroFloorball Cup were from Switzerland, Sweden, the Czech Republic, and Norway, the top team in that country automatically qualifies, as well as the reigning champion. 5 teams in total receive automatic qualification. Since 5 of the 8 spots are filled, the other 3 need to be decided using regional qualification. IKSU Innebandy
IKSU (Idrottsklubben Studenterna i Umeå) is a sports club and nonprofit organization in Umeå. It has three facilities, ''IKSU sport'' at the Umeå University campus, ''IKSU'' plus at the Arts campus and ''IKSU spa'' in Umedalen. It has about 18,000 members. In a study conducted in 2011 by the New Zealand fitness company Les Mills International, IKSU had the second highest number of weekly visitors among 13,000 fitness centres in the world. Eulachhalle is an arena located in Winterthur, Switzerland. It is primarily used for team handball and is the home arena of Pfadi Winterthur and Yellow Winterthur. Eulachhalle holds 2,300 people. The heavy metal band Iron Maiden performed a live during the tour Virtual XI World Tour, the second of October 1998. In 2008, the arena was the host of the finals of the men's and women's EuroFloorball Cup final rounds. The Arena has also twice been the host of the UCI Indoor Cycling World Championships, in 1997 and 2007. At the 2007 world championships there was a record number of 3,280 spectators in the arena. A margarita is a cocktail consisting of Tequila, triple sec, and lime juice often served with salt on the rim of the glass.
