2008 Ukrainian Football Amateur League
Following are the results of the Ukrainian Football Amateur League 2008 season. Participation is restricted to the regional (Oblast) champions and/or the most regarded team by the respective regional association. This season competition consisted of two stages. The first stage was organized in regional principal and was played in two rounds where each team could play another at its home ground. On the first stage each group winners and the best runner-up advanced to the next part of the competition automatically, the other four runners-up were paired together to identify two more teams that were to advance. Sokil Zolochiv that won the play-off and was accepted for the finals at the end was not able to arrive to play. The second stage and the concluding was played in Chernivtsi where the teams were split in two groups and the first places were advancing to the final. Ukrainian Football Amateur Association
The Association of Amateur Football of Ukraine ( uk, Асоціація аматорського футболу України, AAFU) is a sports organization that administers national competitions of association football among amateur and children teams. AAFU is a collective member of the Football Federation of Ukraine. It was established 2 March 1998 and under the association agreement between the Football Federation of Ukraine and the Association, it is authorized to organize the All-Ukrainian National Football Championship and Cup tournaments amongst amateur football teams. The football championship is considered the fourth level of national competition and is the premier competitions for amateur clubs (professionally non-licensed). FC Zirka Kirovohrad
FC Zirka Kropyvnytskyi ( uk, ФК "Зірка Кропивницький") is a Ukrainian amateur football club from Kropyvnytskyi, Kirovohrad Oblast, with its team currently playing in the Ukrainian Amateur League. The club traces its history of a football team that existed at the British factory of Elvorti (Elworthy) since 1911. After the occupation of Ukraine by Bolsheviks, the factory was "nationalized", its team was dissolved, and the factory was converted into Soviet factory "Chervona Zirka", hence the club's name. The Soviet football team Chervona Zirka was formed in 1922. The club's professional football history however started in 1958 when it was admitted to the Class B competitions. FC Cherkashchyna ( uk, ФК Черкащина) was a professional Ukrainian football club from the city of Cherkasy. The club's home ground was Central Stadium which was refurbished in 2003 and has a capacity of 10,321. FC Yednist-2 Plysky
FC Yednist Plysky was a Ukrainian professional football team from the village of Plysky in Nizhyn Raion of Chernihiv Oblast. The club continues to play in the Chernihiv Oblast football competition. Club history The club was founded in 2001 and is sponsored by a local farming company ''Ahroservis''. Yednist began participating in the Ukrainian Second League from 2005. The club took the move of entering the professional competition after several years of successfully competing in the Amateur competitions (''Fourth Level'' of competition in Ukraine) including winning the Ukrainian Amateur Cup in 2003. The reserve club, FC Yednist-2 Plysky, competes in the Chernihivska oblast football competition proved the strength of the club by winning the Ukrainian Amateur Cup in 2007. The PFL has allowed FC Yednist-2 Plysky to compete in the Ukrainian Cup 2008-09 even though Reserves or 2nd teams have not been allowed to compete in the competition since 2001.

FC Lokomotyv Kupiansk
FC Lokomotyv Kupiansk was an amateur club from Kupiansk competing at the regional competitions of Kharkiv Oblast. The club was one of the oldest in the country being founded in 1923. With the fall of the Soviet Union, the club was dissolved. FC Sokil Berezhany
FC Sokil Berezhany (formerly FC Lysonya) is a Ukrainian amateur football club based in Berezhany, Ternopil Oblast. History The club was founded in 1982 and plays in the football championship of Ternopil Oblast. The team were the champions of Ternopil Oblast in 2000 and 2001, while they finished second in 2009. In 1992, the club played in the Ukrainian Transfer League under the name "Lysonya" (named so after the mountain near Berezhany), but after two seasons the club was renamed to Sokil (Ukrainian for "Falcon") and returned to amateur football. In 1998, the team won the Cup of Ternopil Oblast. Sokil played two matches in Ukrainian Second League of 2005–06 season, but withdrew. Football Club ODEK Orzhiv ( uk, ОДЕК Оржів) is a Ukrainian amateur football team from Orzhiv, Rivne Raion. In 2013 the team won the National amateur football championship.
