UCI Women's Road Rankings
The UCI Women's Road Rankings is a system of ranking road bicycle racers based upon the results in all women's UCI-sanctioned races over a twelve-month period. The world rankings were first instituted by the UCI in 1994. Points are awarded according to finishing positions in each race, with lesser points for each stage of stage races and for wearing the race leader's jersey. The road races at the Olympics and Road World Championships are worth the most points. The team rankings are calculated by summing the points of the team's four best placed riders, and the national rankings by summing the points of the nation's five best placed riders. Since 1998, the competition has been run in parallel to the UCI Women's Road World Cup, which has included only six to twelve of the most prestigious one-day races. Oenone Wood (born 24 September 1980 in Newcastle, New South Wales, Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia) is a retired professional cycle sport, cyclist, who commenced her cycling career in 2001 at the age of 21. She was an Australian Institute of Sport scholarship holder. She was a member of professional cycling Team Columbia Women (USA) and the Canberra Cycling Club, and formerly of the T-Mobile Professional Women's Cycling Team (GER) and Equipe Nürnberger Versicherung. Diana Žiliūtė
Diana Žiliūtė (; born 28 May 1976 in Rietavas) is a Lithuanian racing cyclist who dominated women's road racing in the late 1990s. She made her debut in the pro cycling ranks in the mid-1990s after winning the 1994 World Junior Road Race Championship. She rose to the top of women's cycling in 1998 when she won two UCI Women's Road World Cup, World Road Cup races, the overall World Road Cup title, and capped the season by winning the World Championship of Road Cycling (women), World Road Race Championships and leading the UCI Women's Road World Rankings. The following year (1999), she further demonstrated her all around prowess by winning the Grande Boucle, one of the hardest stage races in women's cycle racing history. Yuliya Viktorovna Martisova (also ''Julia Martisova'', russian: Юлия Викторовна Мартисова; born 15 June 1976 in Velikiye Luki, Pskov Oblast) is a Russian professional road cyclist. Rochelle Gilmore (born 14 December 1981) is an Australian former racing cyclist, owner and manager of the professional cycling team . Career Born in Sutherland, New South Wales, Gilmore competed in track cycling in her teens, before specialising in road racing for more than 10 years. In 2006, she won a stage at the Geelong Women's Tour, took second behind teammate Katherine Bates in the points race at the Commonwealth Games in 2002 and 2006, and earned top five finishes in a Giro d'Italia Femminile stage, the Geelong World Cup, and the Liberty Classic. Giorgia Bronzini (born 3 August 1983) is an Italian former professional racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2003 and 2017. She won the women's road race in the UCI Road World Championships in both 2010 and 2011 and the women's points race in the UCI Track Cycling World Championships in 2009. Born in Piacenza, Bronzini took a total of 80 victories on the road and the track, including stages of the Giro d'Italia Femminile, La Route de France, the Tour of Qatar, the Tour of California, and the Tour of Chongming Island. After a 16-year career, in August 2018 Bronzini announced that she would retire at the end of the season and become a ''directeur sportif'' with Trek Bicycle Corporation's new women's team, in 2019.
