2008 STCC Season
The 2008 Swedish Touring Car Championship season was the 13th Swedish Touring Car Championship (STCC) season. Drivers These were the STCC entries for the 2008 season. Entrants with numbers 90 and above also competed in the privateer competition known as Semcon Cup. All teams were Swedish-registered. Ring Knutstorp
Ring Knutstorp is a motor racing circuit in Kågeröd, Sweden. The circuit was built in 1963, extended in 1970, and modified to its present configuration in 1980. BMW 3 Series (E46)
The fourth generation of the BMW 3 Series range of compact executive cars is designated under the model code E46, which was produced by the German automaker BMW from 1997 to 2006, and was the successor to the E36 3 Series which ceased production in 2000. Carl Rosenblad (racing Driver)
Carl "Calle" Rosenblad (born 28 April 1969, in Västervik) is a Swedish auto racing driver. He is married with two children. Racing career His first racing was in Swedish Formula Opel in 1990, where he drove for four seasons. He also drove in the Swedish Porsche Challenge and the European Interseries from 1991. In 1996 he got a drive in the International Formula 3000, with the British Alpha Plus Team. The season was not a successful one, ending with no championship points. In 1997 he switched to the FIA GT Championship, with a GT1 Class Porsche 911 for the Kremer Racing Team, again with little success. He moved to touring cars in 1998, driving a Nissan Primera in the Swedish Touring Car Championship. In 1998 he also raced the Rolex 24h at Daytona for Larbre Compétition, ending in a strong 3rd place (total). Thomas Schie (born 1 December 1975, in Oslo) is a former racing and rally driver. He previously competed in the International Formula 3000, Swedish Touring Car Championship and World Rally Championship. Career Racing Schie started his autoracing career in the Swedish Formula Ford Junior championship. Schie, as the only foreigner in the championship, finished third. Moving up the ladder Schie moved into the Scandinavian Formula Opel Lotus championship. After finished seventh in the season he joined Team Norway at the Formula Opel Lotus Nations Cup. At Circuit Park Zandvoort Schie finished eighth with this teammate Tommy Rustad. For the 1995 season the Norwegian driver moved to the United States of America to race in the Barber Dodge Pro Series.
