2008 PBZ Zagreb Indoors
The 2008 PBZ Zagreb Indoors was a tennis tournament played on indoor hard courts. It was the 3rd edition of the PBZ Zagreb Indoors, and was part of the International Series of the 2008 ATP Tour. It took place at Dom Sportova in Zagreb, Croatia, from 23 February through 1 March 2008. The singles field was headlined by Doha semifinalist and recent South African Airways Open Challenger titlist Ivan Ljubičić, Rotterdam semifinalist Ivo Karlović, and Marseille quarterfinalist and Rotterdam semifinalist Gilles Simon. Also present in the field were Sydney semifinalist Fabrice Santoro, Chennai semifinalist Mario Ančić, Nicolas Mahut, Andreas Seppi and Janko Tipsarević. ATP International Series
The ATP International Series (known from 1990 to 1997 as the ATP World Series) was a series of professional tennis tournaments held internationally as part of the ATP Tour from 2000 to 2008. The series was renamed ATP Tour 250 in 2009. International Series offered players cash prizes (tournaments have purses from $416,000 to $1,000,000) and the ability to earn ATP ranking points. Christian Miniussi
Christian Carlos Miniussi Ventureira (born 5 July 1967) is a former tennis player from Argentina. Miniussi turned professional in 1984. He started playing tennis at the Adrogué Tennis Club and he also represented his native country as a lucky loser at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, where he was defeated in the first round by France's Fabrice Santoro. Gerry Weber Open
The Halle Open is a men's tennis tournament held in Halle, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Held since 1993, the event is played on four outdoor grass courts and is a part of the ATP Tour 500 series on the ATP Tour schedule. Between 1993 and 2018 it was sponsored by Gerry Weber. It was sponsored by Noventi from 2019 to 2021. In December 2021, a change of primary sponsor and name was announced. For the years 2022 and 2023, the tournament will be known as the Terra Wortmann Open. Nicklas Kulti (born 22 April 1971) is a former professional tennis player from Sweden. He was born in Stockholm. Tennis career Juniors Kulti was ranked No. 1 in the junior world singles rankings in 1989 after winning the Australian Open and Wimbledon junior titles, and finishing runner-up at the US Open. Pro tour In 1990, Kulti won his first top-level singles title at Adelaide. He won a total of three tour singles titles during his professional career. A lucky loser is a sports competitor (player or team) who loses a match in a knockout tournament or loses in qualifying, but who then enters the main draw, usually when another competitor withdraws during the tournament because of illness, injury, or other reasons. Janko Tipsarević ( sr-cyr, Јанко Типсаревић, ; born 22 June 1984) is a Serbian former tennis player. His career-high singles ranking is world No. 8, achieved on 2 April 2012.
