2008 Montana State Bobcats Football Team
The 2009 Montana State Bobcats football team represented Montana State University as a member of the Big Sky Conference in the 2008 NCAA Division I FCS football season. The Bobcats were led by second-year head coach Rob Ash and played their home games at Bobcat Stadium. They finished the season 7–5 overall and 6–3 in the Big Sky to finish in third place. The Big Sky Conference (BSC) is a collegiate athletic conference affiliated with the NCAA's Division I with football competing in the Football Championship Subdivision. Member institutions are located in the western United States in the eight states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Utah, and Washington. The 2008 Northern Arizona Lumberjacks football team was an American football team that represented Northern Arizona University (NAU) as a member of the Big Sky Conference (Big Sky) during the 2008 NCAA Division I FCS football season. In their eleventh year under head coach Jerome Souers, the Lumberjacks compiled a 6–5 record (4–4 against conference opponents), outscored opponents by a total of 316 to 273, and finished fifth out of nine teams in the Big Sky.
