The 2008 Miami Valley Silverbacks season was the third season for the Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL) franchise. In 2008, the team saw the only coach it had even known, removed himself from the position and become the team's president. His first move was to hire Carl Allen as his successor. The 2007 Miami Valley Silverbacks season was the second season for the Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL) franchise. After the season, the team decided to move to the Continental Indoor Football League, along with their brother franchise, the Steubenville Stampede The Steubenville Stampede was an indoor American football, indoor football franchise, most recently a member of the Continental Indoor Football League. The Lehigh Valley Outlawz were a professional indoor football team based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The team began play as a semi-pro team in the Labelle Community Football League as the ''Philly Outlawz''. The team was later a charter member of the Great Lakes Indoor Football League joining the league in 2006 as an expansion team. The Kalamazoo Xplosion was an indoor football team based in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The Xplosion began play in 2007 expansion team of the Continental Indoor Football League. They played their home games at Wings Stadium. History Original team owners are Mike Johnson, Mike Trumbell, and Esteban Rivera, who also owned the Saginaw Sting. The 2009 Miami Valley Silverbacks season was the fourth season for the Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL) franchise. The Fort Wayne Freedom was a professional indoor football team based in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The team was most recently a member of the Continental Indoor Football League, but originally began play in 2003 as an expansion team in the National Indoor Football League. The Freedom were the original indoor football team to be based in Fort Wayne. After four years of being the only indoor team in Fort Wayne, the franchise folded and the Fort Wayne Fusion was established as part of the AF2 in 2007.
