2008 Lunar New Year Cup
The 2008 Lunar New Year Cup, officially known as Wing Lung Bank 2008 Lunar New Year Cup, is a football tournament held in Hong Kong on the first and fourth day of the Chinese New Year of the Year of Rat (8 February and 11 February 2008). Format The two semi-finals for the four participating teams will be held on the first day of the Chinese New Year of Rat (7 February 2008). The winning teams will enter the final and the losing teams play the third-place playoff (Both matches on the fourth day of the Lunar New Year, i.e. 10 February 2008.) Draw in the semi-finals and third-place playoff would be settled by penalty shootout directly, that means no extra time would be played. For the final, a thirty-minute extra time would be played after a draw. A further draw would lead to the penalty shootout. Mladen Bartolović
Mladen Bartolović (born 10 April 1977) is a Bosnian retired football player. A Bosnian Croat by descent, Bartolović opted to play for Bosnia and Herzegovina national team internationally. Club career Bartolović never played football before he was 16. He loved basketball, but during the Bosnian War, there were no basketball club active, so he decided to try himself as a football player. He formerly played for HNK Čapljina, Cibalia Vinkovci, Dinamo Zagreb, 1. FC Saarbrücken, Segesta Sisak, NK Zagreb and spent three seasons with Hajduk Split. Ulsan Hyundai FC ( ko, 울산 현대 축구단) is a South Korean professional football club based in Ulsan that competes in the K League 1, the top tier of South Korean football. Hrvatski nogometni klub Hajduk Split, commonly referred to as Hajduk Split () or simply Hajduk, is a Croatian professional football club based in Split, that competes in the Croatian First League, the top tier in Croatian football. Since 1979, the club's home ground has been the 34,198-seater Stadion Poljud. The team's traditional home colours are white shirts with blue shorts and blue socks. Florin Lucian Cernat (born 10 March 1980) is a Romanian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder and playmaker. Boris Živković
Boris Živković (; born 15 November 1975) is a Croatian former professional footballer who played as a full-back and centre-back. At one point of his career he even played as defensive midfielder. Živković began his professional career with Marsonia and Hrvatski Dragovoljac in his native country before spending six seasons with Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen. Jurica Buljat (born 19 September 1986) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a defender for HNK Zadar. Club career On 20 June 2011, Buljat signed a three-year contract with Israeli defending champion Maccabi Haifa. Buljat made his debut on 2011–12 UEFA Champions League second qualifying round, 13 July 2011, against Borac Banja Luka. He was released from the Israeli club after one year. Goran Jozinović (born 27 August 1990) is a Croatian football player who was born in Bosnia and Herzegovina who plays for GOŠK Kaštel Gomilica since July 2021. Miro Varvodić (born 15 May 1989) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Dugopolje. Career Born in Split, Varvodić began his career in the youth of hometown club Hajduk Split, making his professional debut in 2006.
