The 2008 Indonesian GP2 Asia Series round was the second round of the 2008 GP2 Asia Series. It was held on 16 and 17 February 2008 at Sentul International Circuit in Sentul, Indonesia. Classification Qualifying Feature race * Luca Filippi winner race but she was rejected because after stewards found out he had used tyres allocated to his teammate Hiroki Yoshimoto. * Stephen Jelley finished 9th, but she was rejected because for having had his car refuelled on the grid prior to the start of the race. Sentul International Circuit
Sentul International Circuit is a 50,000-capacity permanent motor racing circuit located at Sentul City, Babakan Madang, Bogor Regency, West Java, Indonesia, near the toll gate of Jakarta towards Bogor city and areas at the foot of Jonggol Mountains Its pit facilities have easy access to the Jagorawi Toll Road. The current circuit is a truncated version of the original design. Approximately 40% shorter than the original, the circuit runs clockwise and is predominantly used for motorcycle racing and the Asian F3 series. Sentul is a relatively simple, smooth, broad track with large runoff areas, enabling non-bumpy and smooth driving at racing speeds. Sentul has a main straight that allows speeds of up to before slowing for the right-hand Turn 1. The only truly high-speed corner at Sentul is Turn 2. Ocean Racing Technology (ORT) was a racing team that took part in both the GP2 Main Series and the GP2 Asia Series Championships. The team, owned by Tiago Monteiro and José Guedes, was formed at the end of the 2008 season after being purchased from BCN, a team which never enjoyed much success in GP2 (two podiums in four years). Hiroki Yoshimoto
(born 2 September 1980 in Osaka) is a Japanese race car driver. He raced in the 2005 GP2 Series for the BCN Competicion team, alongside the Venezuelan E. J. Viso. For 2006 he was initially teamed with the more experienced Timo Glock of Germany. In addition to his racing, he is also the vocalist for Japanese rock band doa under the name . Marco Bonanomi (born 12 March 1985 in Lecco) is an Italian professional racing driver. Career Formula Renault Bonanomi began his car racing career in 2001 by competing in a few rounds of the Formula Renault Eurocup and Italian Formula Renault championships with the Cram Competition team. Ho-Pin Tung (; born December 4, 1982) is a Chinese-Dutch racing driver who races with a Chinese license. Career Born in Velp, Gelderland, Netherlands, Tung started kart racing in the Netherlands in 1997 before graduating to single-seaters. In 2001 he raced in the Dutch Formula Ford championship with Van Amersfoort Racing. After winning the 2003 Formula BMW Asia series, he was rewarded with a test drive with the Williams F1 team. Haralds Šlēgelmilhs, known internationally as Harald Schlegelmilch (born December 6, 1987) is a Latvian racing driver. Career He started racing at the age of 8. He raced in karting championships for seven years. In 2003, Harald participated in Formula BMW testing and in 2004 he drove in the Austrian-Swiss Formula BMW championship.
