2008 Florida Gators Football Team
The 2008 Florida Gators football team represented the University of Florida in the sport of American football during the 2008 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Gators competed in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Eastern Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC), and played their home games in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on the university's Gainesville, Florida, campus. They were led by fourth-year head coach Urban Meyer. The 2008 NCAA Division I FBS football season was the highest level of college football competition in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Stan Drayton
Stanley Drayton (born March 11, 1971) is an American football coach. He is currently the head coach at Temple University. He formerly served as the associate head coach, running backs coach, and run game coordinator at The University of Texas at Austin and also coached running backs for the Chicago Bears and Ohio State. Biography Drayton was born on March 11, 1971, in Cleveland, Ohio. He attended Allegheny College, where he played running back on the football team. As a sophomore, Drayton helped lead the Gators to the 1990 NCAA Division III national championship, and ended his career as the top rusher in Division III history (record later broken). John "Doc" Holliday (born April 21, 1957) is an American football coach and former player. He was the head football coach at Marshall University from 2010 to 2020.
