2008 FAW Premier Cup Final
The 2008 FAW Premier Cup Final was the final of the 11th season of the FAW Premier Cup. The final was played at Newport Stadium in Newport on 11 March 2008 and marked the second time the final has been staged at the stadium. The match was contested by Newport County and Llanelli. 2007–08 FAW Premier Cup
The 2007–08 FAW Premier Cup was the 11th season of the tournament since its founding in 1997. Newport County A.F.C., Newport County were the eventual winners, beating Llanelli A.F.C., Llanelli 1–0 in the final to win the competition for the first time in the club's history. To date, the season remains the last time the tournament was played after the BBC withdrew sponsorship in 2008. Lee Jarman
Lee Jarman (born 16 December 1977) is a former Welsh footballer. Early life Born in Cardiff to Ian and Angela Jarman, he grew up in Llanishen and attended Coed Glas School as a child. Career A centre-half, he began his career at his hometown club Cardiff City. Having been involved with the club since the age of 10, he signed schoolboy terms at the age of fifteen and became a YTS player the following year. He made his professional debut during the 1995–96 season in a 3–2 win over Gillingham in the Football League Trophy at the age of 18, following an injury to Lee Baddeley. Mark Pritchard (footballer)
Mark Owen Pritchard (born 23 November 1985, in Tredegar) is a Welsh footballer who plays for Subiaco AFC Career Pritchard began his career at Swansea City, making his professional debut on 21 October 2003 during a 2–0 defeat to Cambridge United. After a short spell on loan with Merthyr Tydfil at the end of the 2004–05 season, Swansea boss Kenny Jackett deemed him surplus to requirements at the Liberty Stadium and he was allowed to join Conference National side Aldershot Town, where he scored his first senior career goal during a 4–2 defeat to Blackpool in the FA Cup. Andy Legg
Andrew Legg (born 28 July 1966) is a Welsh football manager and former Wales international player. Born in Neath, he began his professional career with Swansea City after joining the club from local non-league football at the age of 22. He made his senior debut in 1988 and went on to make over 150 appearances for the club in all competitions before being sold to Notts County in 1993. Stuart Jones (footballer Born 1984)
Stuart Jones (born 14 March 1984) is a Welsh football coach and former footballer who played as a defender. He was most recently a coach at Cymru Premier club Aberystwyth Town. Career A product of the Swansea City youth development system, Jones made his first-team debut on 22 October 2002 in a 2–1 defeat to Stevenage Borough in the Football League Trophy. He made over 30 appearances for the Swans between 2003 and 2005 but moved on at the end of the 2004–05 season. In 2005, he joined Llanelli, becoming the club's first full-time player since the Jock Stein era in the 1950s. Peter Beadle
Peter Clifford William James Beadle (born 13 May 1972) is an English football manager and former player who was recently manager of club Yate Town. A former player, Beadle played as a forward and he scored some 83 goals in 355 league games, mostly for the two Bristol clubs. He started his career at Gillingham in 1989 and won a £300,000 move to Tottenham Hotspur two years later. However, he never made a first team appearance for "Spurs" and was instead loaned out to AFC Bournemouth and Southend United, before he was transferred to Watford in September 1994. Lee Fowler
Lee Anthony Fowler (born 10 June 1983) is a Welsh retired professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He earned 12 Wales Under-21 caps. Charlie Griffin
Charles John Griffin (born 25 June 1979) is an English former professional footballer. Griffin started his career with Bristol Rovers, spending two years at the club and progressing through the club's youth system. He was released at the age of 18 and played part-time football with Chippenham Town for a season. Richard Evans (footballer Born 1983)
Richard Evans (born 19 June 1983) is a Welsh professional footballer. He has been capped by Wales U21s and is who plays for Chippenham Town. Career Evans began his career as a trainee with Birmingham City, but left having never made the first team. An injury-hit three-year spell at Sheffield Wednesday followed, in which he made just 10 appearances for the Yorkshire club, scoring a solitary goal against Burnley in the 47th minute of a 7–2 victory in the penultimate game of the 2002–03 season on 26 April 2003 at Turf Moor.
