2008 Bryant Bulldogs Football Team
The 2008 Bryant Bulldogs football team represented Bryant University as an independent in the 2008 NCAA Division I FCS football season. The Bulldogs were led by sixth-year head coach Marty Fine and played their home games at Bulldog Stadium. This was the first season in which Bryant competed at the NCAA Division I FCS level. The Bulldogs have previous played at the NCAA Division II level as a member of the Northeast-10 Conference. They finished the season with a record of 7–4. Marty Fine (born July 30, 1959) is an American football coach. He was the head football coach at New Mexico Highlands University. Tenney Stadium at Leonidoff Field is a 5,000-seat multi-purpose stadium in Poughkeepsie, New York. It is home to the Marist College Red Foxes football team. The field was named after Alex Leonidoff, a local physician and avid Marist Athletics supporter. The facility opened in 1968. At the conclusion of the 2006 football season, the existing grandstand was removed to make way for a more modern, updated facility including modern press boxes, luxury suites, home and away locker rooms, an athletic training room as well as a new concession stand. On October 6, 2007 began with the dedication of Tenney Stadium at Leonidoff Field. The 2008 UMass Minutemen football team represented the University of Massachusetts Amherst in the 2008 NCAA Division I FCS football season as a member of the Colonial Athletic Association. The team was coached by Don Brown and played its home games at Warren McGuirk Alumni Stadium in Hadley, Massachusetts. The 2008 season was Brown's last as head coach of the Minutemen.
