2008 Bosnian Municipal Elections
Municipal elections were held in Bosnia and Herzegovina on 5 October 2008. Parties and independent candidates had to register by 23 May 2008, party or coalition lists by 25 June 2008. These were the first local elections were representatives of minorities were elected to the municipal assemblies. 64 political parties and 183 independent candidates were certified to stand in the election. Nationalist parties (the Party of Democratic Action and the Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the federation and the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats in the RS) were the most successful in the election, while the Party for Bosnia and Herzegovina was considered to have been the loser of the election. Äapljina
Äapljina ( sr-cyrl, Š§Š°ŠæŃŠøŠ½Š°, ) is a city located in Herzegovina-Neretva Canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. New Croatian Initiative
The New Croatian Initiative ( hr, Nova hrvatska inicijativa or NHI) was a Bosnian Croat political party in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was founded by KreÅ”imir Zubak in 1998, after he left the Croatian Democratic Union. The party was dissolved in 2007. History The New Croatian Initiative was founded by former Bosnian Presidency member KreÅ”imir Zubak on 24 June 1998, who had previously left the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ BiH). Doboj East
Doboj East ( sr-cyrl, ŠŠ¾Š±Š¾Ń ŠŃŃŠ¾Šŗ) is a municipality located in Tuzla Canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was created after the Dayton peace agreements in 1998 by seceding from the municipality of Doboj. Today Doboj East is experiencing rapid urbanization, as well as economic and industrial growth. Drvar (, ) is a town and municipality located in Canton 10 of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The 2013 census registered the municipality as having a population of 7,036. It is situated in western Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the road between Bosansko Grahovo and Bosanski Petrovac, also near GlamoÄ. Centar (Cyrillic: Š¦ŠµŠ½ŃŠ°Ń, lit. āCenter") is a municipality of the city of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
