The Atlanta Civic Center
The Atlanta Civic Center was a theater located in Atlanta, Georgia. It closed in 2014. The theater, which seats 4,600, regularly hosted touring productions of Broadway musicals, concerts, seminars, comedy acts, and high school graduations and commencement ceremonies for Atlanta's John Marshall Law School. In addition to performances, the civic center could host conferences and exhibits as well, with 5,800 square feet (540 m2) of meeting space. The civic center was owned and operated by the Atlanta city government's Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, but brought in enough revenue to be self-supporting. Cha Cha Cha is the lead single from MC Lyte's second album ''Eyes on This''. Produced by King Of Chill, who also has songwriting credits, it was released on September 8, 1989. The song stayed 18 weeks on the recently created Billboard Hot Rap Singles and became one of the first songs to peak at  1 on that chart, staying there for two weeks in December 1989. Although MC Lyte had already reached #1 on Rap chart a few months earlier with the collaborative single "Self Destruction", this was the first time that a woman had achieved it as the lead artist. "Chopped 'n' Skrewed" is the second single released from R&B singer-songwriter T-Pain's third album, '' Thr33 Ringz''. The song features American rapper Ludacris. It was first released on the Canadian iTunes on September 22, 2008, the same day the song was also added to T-Pain's MySpace. It was released in the US on iTunes on September 30. The official remix features American singer R. Kelly. Background The song has a futuristic beat and creates different scenarios about men being misled and blown off by women. The title and style of the song refers to the chopped and screwed genre of music created in Texas. It also features the autotune feature to produce its static and powerful beat. T-Pain performed the song on Saturday Night Live on November 22, 2008 with Ludacris, along with " One More Drink". "Universal Mind Control" is the first single released by Common from his 2008 album of the same name. The single features vocals from Pharrell Williams, who co-produced the song with Chad Hugo under their production team The Neptunes. The music video premiered on Common's official YouTube channel on October 6, 2008. In a 2008 Microsoft Zune commercial, Common tells Afrika Bambaataa that, when writing this song, he was influenced by Bambaataa's song " Planet Rock", which the song samples. Ralph Di Stasio (born December 5, 1976), better known by his stage name Avery Storm, is an American singer. Di Stasio grew up in a working-class Italian-American family in New Jersey.
