2008 Arkansas Razorbacks Football
The 2008 Arkansas Razorbacks football team represented the University of Arkansas in the 2008 football season. The Razorbacks played five home games at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville, Arkansas and one home game at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock, Arkansas. The Razorbacks finished the season with an overall record of 5–7 and a conference record of 2–6 in Bobby Petrino's inaugural season. Bobby Petrino
Robert Patrick Petrino (born March 10, 1961) is an American football coach. He currently serves as the Offensive Coordinator for the Texas A&M Aggies. He is the former head coach for the Missouri State Bears. Previously, he served as the head coach of the Louisville Cardinals football team from 2014 until being fired during the 2018 season. He previously held the post from 2003 to 2006. From 2008 to 2011, Petrino was the head football coach at the University of Arkansas. He was dismissed from that position in the spring of 2012 for covering up an extramarital affair with a football department staffer. Petrino also coached the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL) for the first 13 games of the 2007 season, quitting to take the head coaching job of the Arkansas Razorbacks. Kirk Botkin
Kirk Randal Botkin (born March 19, 1971) is the former defensive coordinator for the South Carolina State University Bulldogs football team and a former American football tight end and long snapper who played four seasons in the NFL with the New Orleans Saints and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has since coached football at the collegiate level. Botkin and his wife, the former Rebecca Holloway, have three children. Early life Botkin was born in Baytown, Texas, where he attended Robert E. Lee High School. College football Botkin matriculated at the University of Arkansas. In 1992, he was selected to the All- SEC football team, named by the conference's coaches. Lorenzo Ward
Lorenzo Ward (born April 26, 1967) is an American football coach. He is the defensive coordinator at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, a position he has held since the 2019 season. Ward served as the interim head football coach at the University of Louisville for the final two games of the 2018 season following the firing of Bobby Petrino. Ward played college football at the University of Alabama from 1986 to 1989. Playing career Ward was born and raised in Greensboro, Alabama. An offensive coordinator is a member of the coaching staff of an American football or Canadian football team who is in charge of the team's offense. Chip Long
Chip Long (born May 1, 1983) is an American football coach, who is currently an assistant at Louisville. He previously was the offensive coordinator for Tulane University, the University of Notre Dame, and the University of Memphis and Georgia Tech. Coaching career Early coaching career Long began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Louisville, where he held the position for two years. Tight End
