2008 All Japan Regional Football Promotion League Series
The 32nd annual Japanese Regional Football League Competition took place from 22 November 2008 to 30 November 2008. It took place across the prefectures of Fukuoka, Kōchi, Tottori and Okinawa. It is the tournament which decided promotion to the Japan Football League for the 2009 season. As three teams were promoted from the Japan Football League to J. League Division 2, the top three teams in this competition were promoted: Machida Zelvia, V-Varen Nagasaki and Honda Lock. Tournament outline Preliminary round – Four groups of four teams play each other once in a round-robin tournament. The top-placed team in each group advances to the final round. In the final round, the four winners from the preliminary round play each other once in a round-robin tournament. Three points are awarded for a win in standard time and zero for a loss. Machida Zelvia
is a Japanese football club based in Machida, Tokyo. History Machida is known as "Brazil of Tokyo" due to the popularity of football in the city; it has, in fact, produced the second-largest number of J. League players though its football school. Originally formed in 1977 by Machida's football federation, this school is well known for its development of young talent into professional players. In 1989, in order to retain that talent in Machida, F.C. Machida established its own top team, which, at that time, played in the Tokyo Prefecture League. In 2003 they became a polideportivo under the name Athletic Club Machida, and in 2005 were promoted to the Kanto League, having won the Tokyo Prefectural League (First Division). Kamatamare Sanuki
Kamatamare Sanuki (カマタマーレ讃岐、Kamatamare Sanuki) is a football club based in Takamatsu, Kagawa, Takamatsu, the capital city of Kagawa Prefecture of Japan. They currently play in the J3 League. They entered the J League in 2014 after finishing as runner-up in the Japan Football League in 2013. The first part of their name was coined by combining the Japanese word ''Kamatama'' (a type of udon noodle bowl) and the Italian ''Mare'' ("Sea"). Renofa Yamaguchi
is a Japanese professional Association football, football club based in Yamaguchi (city), Yamaguchi, the capital of Yamaguchi Prefecture. They currently play in the J2 League, the second tier of professional football in Japanese association football league system, Japan's football league system. Banditonce Kakogawa
is a football (soccer) club based in Kakogawa, which is located in Hyōgo Prefecture in Japan. They play in the Kansai Soccer League, which is part of Japanese Regional Leagues. History Founded as Hyogo Teacher Kicking Group in 1976, it became a club in 1987 renamed Central Kobe. In 2005, the club had a new rebranding, being named ''Banditonce Kakogawa'', from the mix of Spanish words ''Banditos'' (Spanish for "bandits") and ''Once'' (Spanish for "eleven"). Grulla Morioka
is a Japanese association football club based in Morioka, Iwate. It played in the inaugural season of J3 League in 2014 after winning the Tohoku Soccer League, one of the Japanese Regional Leagues, in 2013. Iwate played in the J3 until 2021, when promoted to the J2 for the 2022 season. Ishigaki, Okinawa
is a city in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. It includes Ishigaki island and the Senkaku Islands territory. The city is the political, cultural, and economic center of the Yaeyama Islands.
