2007–08 Swiss Super League
The 2007–08 Swiss Super League was the 111th season of top-tier football in Switzerland. The competition is officially named ''AXPO Super League'' due to sponsoring purposes. It began on 18 July 2007 and has ended on 10 May 2008. League table Results Teams play each other four times in this league. Fussball-Club Luzern (), or simply abbreviated to FCL, is a Swiss sports club based in Lucerne (german: Luzern). It is best known for its professional football team, which plays in the Super League, the top tier of the Swiss football league system, and has won the national title once and the national cup three times. Marcos Gelabert
Marcos Agustín Gelabert (born 16 September 1981, in General Pico, La Pampa) is an Argentine footballer who plays for Gimnasia Mendoza. His position is defensive midfielder. Career Gelabert started his career at Estudiantes de La Plata in the Primera División Argentina in 2001. He went on to play over 100 games for the club before he moved to Swiss Super League side FC St. Gallen in 2006. He became, arguably, the club's best player but after their relegation into the Swiss Challenge League at the end of the 2007–08 season he moved on. Murat Ural (born 5 July 1987) is a Swiss footballer currently playing for FC Gossau in the Swiss Challenge League. Career Ural began his career with the Grasshopper Club Zürich. After one year he joined the junior team of the FC St. Gallen where he stayed for two years. In July 2008 he was lent to the FC Vaduz. Senad Lulić (; born 18 January 1986) is a Bosnian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Lulić started his professional career at Chur 97, before joining Bellinzona in 2006. Two years later, he switched to Grasshoppers. In 2010, he was transferred to Young Boys. The following year, he moved to Lazio. Lulić made his senior international debut for Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2008, earning over 50 caps until 2017. He represented the nation at their first major championship, the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Christian Pouga (born 19 June 1986) is a Cameroonian professional footballer who plays as a striker for SA Mamertins in the Division d'Honneur in France. Relegation Play-offs
In sports leagues, promotion and relegation is a process where teams are transferred between multiple divisions based on their performance for the completed season. Leagues that use promotion and relegation systems are often called open leagues. In a system of promotion and relegation, the best-ranked team(s) in the lower division are ''promoted'' to the higher division for the next season, and the worst-ranked team(s) in the higher division are ''relegated'' to the lower division for the next season. The 2008 UEFA Intertoto Cup was the last UEFA Intertoto Cup football tournament, the 14th to be organised by UEFA and the third since the competition's format was given a major overhaul. Fifty teams were invited, with the eleven winners after the third round then advancing to the second qualifying round of the 2008–09 UEFA Cup.
