2007–08 PBA Philippine Cup Finals
The 2007–08 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Philippine Cup Finals is the best-of-7 championship series of the 2007–08 PBA Philippine Cup, and the conclusion of the conference's playoffs. The series is a best of seven affair and is the 94th championship disputed in the league. The teams competing are first-seed Purefoods Tender Juicy Giants and the second-seed Sta. Lucia Realtors. The Realtors are in their first Philippine Cup Finals stint. PBA Philippine Cup
The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Philippine Cup is a tournament that does not allow teams to hire foreign players or imports. Before 2004–05 season, the tournament was then known as the PBA All-Filipino Cup. It is considered the most prestigious of the three conferences in a PBA season. The San Miguel Beermen are the conference's current defending champions. Since the 2006–07 season, the Jun Bernardino Trophy were awarded to the champions. The trophy is worth PHP 500,000 and is made up of 24-karat gold plate, which the champions can keep for a year. After that, they will receive a smaller replica of the trophy. If a team wins three consecutive tournaments, the franchise gets to keep the trophy and not the replica. The trophy is named after former PBA commissioner Jun Bernardino. Koy Banal
Enrico "Koy" Banal, is a Filipino professional basketball head coach. Coaching career Prior to his first PBA coaching job, Banal has had extensive head coaching experience in the collegiate and amateur ranks. He called the shots for the PSBA Jaguars in the late 90s with ex-pro Warren Ybanez as his main man. From 2000-2004, he was the head coach of the FEU Tamaraws in the UAAP, bannered by future PBA MVP Arwind Santos, Denok Miranda, Mark Isip, Cesar Catli. In basketball, an assist is attributed to a player who passes the ball to a teammate in a way that leads directly to a score by field goal, meaning that they were "assisting" in the basket. Joseph Yeo
Joseph Henry Lim Yeo (born September 7, 1983) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Manila Stars of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). He was drafted third overall by the Coca-Cola Tigers in 2006. Amateur career Yeo took his primary and secondary education at Xavier School and his collegiate education at De La Salle University. He was a part of the Green Archers team that completed its quest for four-peat by defeating Ateneo in the 2001 UAAP Finals. Dennis Ellera "Denok" Miranda (born July 14, 1982), is a Filipino professional basketball player who last played for the Laguna Heroes of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). Kerby Mariano Raymundo (born January 19, 1981) is a Filipino former professional basketball player. He last played for the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Known as The Kid, he was a former star player with the Letran Knights during his NCAA years. Jean Marc Prado Pingris Jr. (born October 16, 1981) is a Filipino former professional basketball player. Known as one of the best defenders and rebounders in PBA history, he was named one of the league's 40 Greatest Players. Kelly Williams (born February 7, 1982) is a Filipino-American professional basketball player for the TNT Tropang Giga in the PBA. He played collegiate basketball at Oakland University, an NCAA Division I school in the United States, and he also represented the Philippines in international competitions. James Carlos Agravante Yap Sr. (born February 15, 1982) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).
