The 2007–08 season was Kilmarnock's ninth consecutive season in the Scottish Premier League, having competed in it since its inauguration in 1998–99. Kilmarnock also competed in the Scottish Cup and the League Cup. Summary Season Kilmarnock finished eleventh in the Scottish Premier League with 40 points. They reached the second round of the League Cup, losing to Hamilton Academical and the fifth round of the Scottish Cup, losing to Celtic. Kilmarnock (, sco, Kilmaurnock; gd, Cill Mheàrnaig (IPA: ʰʲɪʎˈveaːɾnəkʲ, "Marnock's church") is a large town and former burgh in East Ayrshire, Scotland and is the administrative centre of East Ayrshire Council. With a population of 46,770, Kilmarnock is the 14th most populated settlement in Scotland and the largest town in Ayrshire. The town is continuous to nearby neighbouring villages Crookedholm and Hurlford to the east, and Kilmaurs to the west of the town. It includes former villages subsumed by the expansion of the town such as Bonnyton and new purpose built suburbs such as New Farm Loch. The town and the surrounding Greater Kilmarnock area is home to 32 listed buildings and structures designated by Historic Environment Scotland. The River Irvine runs through the eastern section of Kilmarnock, and the Kilmarnock Water passes through it, giving rise to the name 'Bank Street'. Aimé Koudou
Aimé Koudou (born 18 November 1976) is an Ivorian former professional footballer who played as a striker. Career Koudou spent the early part of his career playing in Spain, France, Switzerland and Cyprus with Real Oviedo, Sochaux, Neuchâtel Xamax and AEL Limassol. In 2006 Koudou joined Scottish club Airdrie United, making six appearances in the league during the 2006–07 season. Ryan Robert Jarvis (born 11 July 1986) is an English footballer who plays for side Leiston, where he plays as a midfielder. David William Lilley (born 31 October 1977 in Bellshill, North Lanarkshire) is a Scottish former professional footballer who usually plays at centre back but has also played at right back. Lilley was most recently the manager of Bellshill Athletic in the Scottish Junior Football Association, West Region.
