Ligat HaAl ( he, ליגת העל, lit., ''Supreme League or Premier League''), or the Israeli Basketball Premier League, is the top-tier level league of professional competition in Israeli club basketball, making it Israel's primary basketball competition. The league's name is abbreviated as either BSL (Basketball Super League) or ISBL (Israeli Basketball Super League). For sponsorship reasons, the league is also referred to as Ligat Winner Sal ( he, ליגת ווינר סל), lit. Yogev Ohayon ( he, יוגב אוחיון; born April 24, 1987) is an Israeli professional basketball player for Hapoel Holon of the Israeli Super League. He was the 2012 Israeli Basketball Premier League Finals MVP. He also represents the senior Israel national basketball team in international competitions. Lamont Jones (born July 3, 1972) is an American former professional basketball player who played the guard position. He played for Hapoel Gilboa/Afula in 2007-08, leading the Israeli Basketball Premier League in assists. Personal life Jones is from Brooklyn, New York. He is 6' 0" (183 cm) tall, and weighs 173 pounds (78 kg). Ndudi Hamani Ebi (born 18 June 1984) is an English-born Nigerian former professional basketball player who most notably played for the Minnesota Timberwolves of the National Basketball Association (NBA) between 2003 and 2005. He initially committed to the University of Arizona, before making himself eligible for the NBA Draft. Ebi was selected out of Westbury Christian School by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round (26th pick overall) of the 2003 NBA draft. Nir Cohen (born June 10, 1981 in Krayot) is an Israeli retired basketball player (2.02 meters/6'7" tall) who was playing as a power forward and a center. Omri Moshe Casspi ( he, עומרי משה כספי, born June 22, 1988) is an Israeli former professional basketball player. He mainly played at the small forward position, but could play also at the power forward position. Casspi was drafted 23rd overall in the 2009 NBA draft by the Sacramento Kings, making him the first Israeli to be selected in the first round of an NBA draft. He is a graduate of Pleasantville High School in New York State, played basketball there and won many awards.
